Pack-a-Punch

The four generators

On Shaolin Shuffle, the power is not one switch but four generators, each one powering a quarter of the map. They can be switched on in any order.

  1. First subway station: on a pillar of the platform, near the stairs and Up ‚N Atoms. It must be switched on before anyone can leave the platform.
  2. Near Deadeye Dewdrops: in the small square at the entrance of the park, reached from the rooftops through a 1,250-point barrier.
  3. Inferno Club roof: next to a door marked with a lightning bolt, up from the DJ booth through a 1,500-point door.
  4. Second subway station: on the wall next to the train tunnel, across the tracks from Bang Bangs. Once it runs, a train passes through the station from time to time.

With the four generators on, the door on the platform of the first subway and the door at the bottom of the hole on the Strip open onto the sewers, with the Tuff ‚Nuff machine and the Rat King’s lair.

The Pink Cat

The Pack-a-Punch hides in the Pink Cat, a club on the Strip. Three items are needed, picked up in any order:

Pink Cat flyer

Opens the front doors of the club. It spawns in one of several spots: on a folding chair on the rooftops near Racin‘ Stripes, on a table near Quickies on the roof of the Inferno Club, on the sidewalk outside the Pink Cat, or on a pile of trash just outside the first subway station.

Token

Opens the back room of the club. It always lies under the Tuff ‚Nuff machine in the sewers, seen by going prone, so the four generators come first.

Film reel

Goes into the broken projector of the back room. It spawns on a crate up the steps from Tuff ‚Nuff, by the lockers of the second subway, on a couch upstairs in the Inferno Club, on a chair inside the Pink Cat, or in a hole of the wall of the Rat King’s lair.

With the reel in place, the projector opens a portal to the room of the Pack-a-Punch.

The Pack-a-Punch room

A small blue room beyond the portal, with a film projector, a dresser and a countdown on the wall. The machine upgrades a weapon for 5,000 points.

The double Pack-a-Punch

  1. In the Pack-a-Punch room, press the button on the wall to the left of the portal. A hidden timer of about 30 seconds starts.
  2. Before it ends, run to the power generator reached through the rooftops, past Racin‘ Stripes: its box is open for those few seconds, with the Alien Fuses inside. The Chi door of the Strip, a teleporter to the rooftops, is the fastest way there.
  3. In the second subway station, drop onto the tracks and place the fuses at the spot where the rails crackle with electricity.
  4. Wait for a train to run over them, then take the charged fuses back to the Pack-a-Punch. The machine can now upgrade a weapon a second time.

The Kendall 44 shows the two levels: it becomes the Baby’s Breath, a single pistol firing grenades, then the Fire and Brimstone, dual-wielded.

In the First Room

Doors closed, none of this is reachable. Only the generator of the first subway can be switched on; the three others, the sewers and the Pink Cat are all behind the doors, so the Pack-a-Punch never opens.
