Purist (Hardcore) is the reference: reach the highest round you can without opening any door or barrier, every round played in full, no glitch or exploit, and in solo and with two players it scores points in the Purist ranking. The seven other categories, from Normal to Realistic difficulty, with or without elixirs, count in the player ratings only.

Purist significa sin elixires y sin talismanes, solo Frag Grenades y Acid Bombs, la Welling o un arma de pared para empezar, y ningún arma especial. Tag der Toten y Dead of the Night se juegan con las mutaciones personalizadas que indican sus reglas.
