The Thulian Transports

On The Frozen Dawn, the Thulian Transports are large metal pods that carry the players through a pool of blood from one part of the city to another. Three of them work during a normal game:

Crash Site

By the wreck of the aircraft. It leads to the Passage.

Passage

In the tunnel under the Thulian Archives. It leads to the Blood Altar, and opens on its own the first time the players reach the Passage.

Blood Altar

Next to the great pool of blood. It leads back to the Crash Site, and also opens on its own the first time the players come in.

A trip costs 250 Jolts the first time, then 500 more for each new trip in the same wave. A fourth transport, near the BAR on the way to the Phylactery, leads to the Dark Room, and a fifth, in the Ice Caves, to the citadel of the God-King.

The Ubersprengen

The Pack-a-Punch of the map, the Ancient Ubersprengen, lies sunk in the blood of a room called Lost in Blood. To reach it:

  1. Open the way to Thule from the Crash Site, then reach the Passage, below the Thulian Archives.
  2. In the Passage, push in the stone on the wall in front of the Thulian Transport. It turns red: from now on, the transports lead to Lost in Blood.
  3. Ride each of the three transports once, in the Crash Site, the Passage and the Blood Altar. Every trip raises the Ubersprengen a little out of the blood, and about a minute later the player is sent back to another transport.
  4. After the third trip, the machine stays up. Every trip with the stone pushed in now leads to it.

The stone of the Passage

A stone on the wall in front of the transport of the Passage, marked with a red symbol once pushed in.

Lost in Blood

A round arena of blood among stone columns, where a few zombies appear while the players wait to be sent back.

Upgrade

5,000 Jolts. The weapon can be left in the machine while the player waits, and is picked up before the trip back.

Ammo

4,000 Jolts to refill an upgraded weapon at the machine, even one that came from the Mystery Box.

Corpse Eaters

Two Corpse Eaters come back to the map with the players after each trip to the Ubersprengen.

Camouflage

The upgraded weapons of the map look carved in pale stone, with orange markings that fade in and out.

Pushing the stone of the Passage back turns the transports into simple fast travel again. The first time the Ubersprengen is raised, the players earn Superior Thulian Technology.

In the First Room

Doors closed, none of this is reachable. The Crash Site transport only leads to the Passage, which lies behind several doors, so a First Room game is played without the Ubersprengen.
