The secrets of Classified: the three vodka bottles of Shockwave, McNamara's door, the portrait of Nikolai, the Groom Lake jumpscare, Samantha's four wisps, the ciphers and the memos of the Pentagon.
The song of Classified is Shockwave, written and performed by Kevin Sherwood and sung by Elena Siegman. It plays once the players have used three bottles of vodka hidden around the Pentagon:
In the middle of the room, on top of a set of filing cabinets.
On the bottom floor, under one of the control panels.
In the Laboratories, inside a cabinet in the leftmost corner of the room.
A closed door of the Main Offices hides the office of Robert McNamara, one of the four heroes of Five. Interact with it again and again, and Samantha yells „He said, leave him ALONE!“ before a wave of Nova 6 Crawlers spawns, forty in all.
Knife every crooked presidential portrait of the offices, and a blacked-out portrait of the Primis Nikolai appears in the Panic Room, while the portrait of the Ultimis Richtofen fades to black. Samantha mentions this „present“ in one of her messages to Nikolai.
At Groom Lake, aiming a sniper rifle at a light on a building on the left-hand side brings up the face of Richtofen from the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version of the Shadows of Evil ending.
Four yellow wisps, one for each member of the Ultimis crew, play a message from Samantha to that character: in the window of the South Laboratories corridor outside Weapon Testing for Takeo, in the window next to the taped-off door of Porcine Research for Richtofen, in the window opposite the workbench of Weapon Testing for Dempsey, and in the gap of a missing canister on the bottom shelf of the Morgue for Nikolai.
Five ciphers are hidden around the map, each solved with a classic method: Übchi, columnar transposition, Playfair, affine and Vigenère.
On one of the podiums of the Conference Room, where the game starts. Signed by General Earle Wheeler, it tells the General Staff that the outbreak of October 18 was „a lapse of reason by one of our own“, that the infected are kept onsite in Containment for research, and that the Pentagon will soon receive an important guest for the Secretary of Defense and the President.
Dated from 1946 to 1965, they come from the files of the Pentagon, some of them still stamped CLASSIFIED. The last one, from July 11, 1965, announces that Rushmore is operational, and its full text is in Alpha Omega.
Three full rounds survived at Groom Lake without leaving clear part of the debris and drop a Max Ammo, and a Bonfire Sale as well if the hits taken do not exceed the number of the round. It is also how the briefcase of the Winter’s Howl is reached.
