Voyage of Despair: Weapons

Starting loadout

On Voyage of Despair, as on every Black Ops 4 map, the player chooses the starting weapon, the equipment and the special weapon in the Zombies loadout before the game. The knife is always there. The starting weapon can be the Welling revolver or one of several base weapons, among them the Strife and the Essex Model 07 of the Forecastle walls.

Equipment

Frag grenades, Acid Bomb, Claymore, Wraith Fire or Sentry, chosen in the loadout.

Special weapon

One of the four of the Chaos story: the Chakrams of Vengeance, the Hammer of Valhalla, the Scepter of Ra or the Viper and Dragon.

Wall buys

Nineteen items hang on the walls of the ship. Only the first two are in the First Room.

Mystery Box

The box costs 950 points a spin and moves between eight spots. Its first spot is drawn at random between the Upper and the Lower Grand Staircase. None of its spots is on the Forecastle.

Grand Staircase

The Upper and the Lower Grand Staircase, the two possible starting spots.

Decks

The Aft Decks and the Boat Deck.

Inside the ship

The Mail Rooms, the Dining Hall, the 1st Class Lounge and the Boiler Room.

Besides the usual weapons of Black Ops 4, it holds the two wonder weapons of the map:

Homunculus

A small creature that the player wakes with a syringe and throws. It jumps from zombie to zombie, killing them, for about twenty seconds. Two of them are given at a time.

Kraken

The wonder weapon of the map, a three-barrelled hand cannon. It can also be earned for free through a side quest.

Bowie Knife upgrade

Bought on the wall of the 1st Class Lounge or of the Galley, the Bowie Knife can be upgraded by hitting a Blightfather with it, about ten times, until an animation plays. The knife then makes the zombies it hits spew Blightfather vomit, which kills them at any round, with a cooldown between two uses.
