Step 2: the Chinese symbols

1. Open the locker with strange symbols in the second subway station, by Bang Bangs, with the key.
2. Shoot, in order, the left symbol on a brick wall to the right of the Black Cat Dojo, then the second of four symbols in the restroom of the Inferno Club, then the first two symbols on the wall by the Volk, near Deadeye Dewdrops. A large gong ends the step.

Step 3: the first fight

A small orange Rat King symbol appears on the road in front of the Black Cat Dojo. Use it to call the Rat King, then shoot him until he drops a green eye. Pick it up and talk to Pam Grier.

Step 4: the eye and the Morse code

1. The eye works like a vision pulse: it reveals small orange dragon symbols, one at a time, among some thirteen spots, such as above the door inside the dojo, behind a speaker of the Heebie Geebies, on the water tower of the Inferno Club roof or on the metal bars above the train of the first subway.
2. Shoot six of them. A payphone of the subway stations then turns gray and rings.
3. Answer it: it plays a three-digit number in Morse code.
4. Find the Nightmare Summer poster that carries the same film number and take it. A wrong poster sends the step back to the symbols.

Step 5: the rooftop cipher

1. Place the poster on the big spotlight on the roof of the Inferno Club. An «X» appears on a window by the generator of the roof.
2. Break that window with an explosive. Ninja Zombies land on the roof: kill them all.
3. Red letters appear on the wall by the door down to the club. Six symbols hidden around the roof each stand for a letter; shoot them to spell the word, drawn at random each game, such as RATKING, PAMGRIER or SPACELAND. A gong ends the step.

Step 7: the missing reel

1. Three scenes later, the film burns and a message from Infinity Ward fills the screen.
2. The players wake up in front of the Black Cat Dojo, walled in by fire with a crowd of zombies. Kill them all.
3. Pick up the piece of turnstile that appears and fit it into the broken turnstile of the first subway station. The first time, it unlocks the achievement Message Received.

Step 8: the yellow rings

1. Climb the ladder of the scaffolding by the Karma-45 in the alleyway and shoot the symbol inside a window above the Heebie Geebies.
2. A yellow ring appears under the scaffolding: kill zombies inside it until it fades.
3. A new ring then appears elsewhere: in the first subway in front of the door to Tuff ‘Nuff, in the VIP lounge of the Inferno Club, on the rooftops by Racin’ Stripes, in the park. Clear them until a gong sounds.

Step 9: the disco zombie

Use the turntable in the DJ booth of the Inferno Club. A zombie with a disco ball over its head comes onto the dance floor. Kill it while another zombie is on the floor: the ball jumps to that one. Keep going until a gong sounds.

Step 10: the third fight

A last Rat King symbol appears on the Strip. Beat the Rat King once more: he drops his heart, which the player can also use as a lethal. Then talk to Pam Grier one last time.

The ending

Pam Grier’s blow

In the ending scene, she slides across the sewer and runs the Rat King through with her katana, gives the actors a token «on behalf of all of those that remain imprisoned», and vanishes in smoke with a «Namaste».

The Soul Key

Sally picks up the third piece of the Soul Key where the Rat King died, and the actors are pulled into a black-and-white film.

Rewards

• The achievement Pest Control.
• The Kirisute Gomen, free on the wall of the dojo for the rest of the game, then sold for 10,000 points in later games. Pack-a-Punching it unlocks Sliced and Diced.
• Pam Grier as a playable character: in the pregame lobby, enter Up, Up, Right, Left, Down, Left on the D-pad. Finishing the quest again as her unlocks Exterminator.
