What this page is

Zombie First Room Rankings is a non-commercial site run by enthusiasts. It keeps as little personal data as it can, and this page says exactly what it keeps, why, for how long, and what you can ask of us.

Audience measurement

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which First Rooms are read. It writes two cookies, _ga and _ga_M693S91KLR, kept for up to 400 days.

Nothing is measured before you agree. On your first visit a banner asks the question, and no Google script is loaded until you accept. If you refuse, or simply ignore it, no cookie is written and no data leaves your browser.

Your answer is remembered for six months in a cookie named zfrr_mesure, which contains only the word yes or no and identifies nobody. You can change your mind at any time through the Cookies link in the footer.

What Analytics receives: the pages you open, the type of page, an approximate location from your IP address, your device type, and where you came from. It never receives your name or your email. Data is processed by Google Ireland Limited and may be transferred outside the European Union under the European Commission adequacy decision for the United States.

The contact form

When you write to us we keep your nickname, your message and the subject you chose. Your email address and your country only if you fill them in.

We also keep the IP address that sent the message for seven days, to stop automated submissions, then it is erased. Messages themselves are kept for twelve months, then deleted. Both are done automatically, every day.

If you submit a record, what you send about it, the game, the First Room, the round, the platform and the video links, may be added to the rankings. That is the point of sending it.

The rankings

The rankings show a player nickname, country, scores and public video links. This information comes from runs published publicly by the players themselves, or from the reference archives the community maintains. We publish it to keep a record of the discipline, which is our legitimate interest.

If you are listed and want your entry corrected or removed, write through the contact form and we will act on it.

Who else sees the data

The site is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd, 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus.

Video proofs are played from YouTube and Twitch, which set their own cookies when you press play on an embedded video, not before. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, to limit how we use it, or to object to it altogether. Write through the contact form.

If you feel your request has not been handled properly, you may complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr.
