WaW Old School

The five First Rooms of World at War, where Zombies began: Nacht der Untoten, both sides of Verrückt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese, in solo and with two players. A World at War round is not counted as it is: each run is converted to its equivalent round on the Black Ops board of the same map, then multiplied by the difficulty coefficient. The world records match, and past round 73 on Nacht der Untoten and Shi No Numa the endless solo rounds are compressed, so a round 601 counts as round 44.

How a ranking works

A ranking gathers several First Rooms and scores a player on all of them at once. Each map and each mode carries a difficulty coefficient: a round on a punishing spawn is worth more than the same round on a forgiving one. Your total is the sum of your best round on every column, multiplied by its coefficient.

That is why a player who is strong everywhere beats a player who is untouchable on one map. The rankings reward range, not a single lucky run.

The ZFRR rankings come in pairs, one for each era. Three Hardest Maps takes the four cruellest First Rooms on Call of Duty Black Ops and Black Ops II, and “High Rounds” First Room rewards endurance on every other map of those two games. On Black Ops III, Two Hardest Maps keeps Shadows of Evil and both sides of Verrückt apart, and its own “High Rounds” First Room covers the rest of the game, remasters included. Best Teammates brings the three and four player runs together, one ranking for each era, and 5and5 ranks the unofficial 5and5 Mod of Black Ops, from solo to four players. In total 4,473 ranked entries across 100 First Rooms.

There is no entry round: whatever round a run reaches, it is listed. Each ranking states its own rules, and every score is backed by its video.
