The First Room

Every game of Moon in Black Ops III starts on Earth, in Area 51, also called No Man’s Land. There are no rounds there: the zombies keep coming, stronger as the minutes pass, until every living player stands on the teleporter. It sends the crew to the Receiving Bay of Griffin Station, on the Moon, and that room is where the rounds of a First Room game are played. The time spent in Area 51 is part of the game.

Area 51
The spawn. The power is always on there, with the Pack-a-Punch Machine, a perk machine that is either Juggernog (2500 points) or Speed Cola (3000 points), in turn each time the players come back, and a GobbleGum machine near the teleporter. Hellhounds run with the zombies.
The teleporter
It only fires when all the players still alive stand on it. The record runs take what they can in Area 51 first: the 80-round solo run of Bitum, in 2022, leaves with its RK5 already Pack-a-Punched.
The Receiving Bay has no air and low gravity until the power is turned on, and the power switch is far behind the doors, in the room of the pyramid. A First Room game is therefore played in low gravity from the first round to the last, with the space suit on. The room has two doors, one on each side, sold for 750 points; buying one opens the other. Zombies climb in through two windows.

P.E.S.
The space suit stands in its locker right in front of the players when they arrive. Without it, a player in a room without air goes down. In Black Ops III the helmet covers the whole head.

Excavator terminals
Three panels in the room stop the excavators when they are hacked. The Hacker lies in the Laboratories, behind the doors, so in a First Room game the excavators are never stopped.

Astronaut Zombie
In Black Ops III it only spawns in the Receiving Bay, where in Black Ops it appeared near the player. Its grab takes a perk and throws the player somewhere else on the map, which is outside the First Room.
No wall buy
As in Black Ops, the starting room of Moon has none. The RK5 and the Sheiva, the 500-point walls that replace the Olympia and the M14, hang outside, past the doors.
Quick Revive
1500 points, or 500 in solo: the only perk machine of the room.
GobbleGum machine
One of the machines Zombies Chronicles added to the map stands in the room. The reference ZFRR board allows no gum at all, so it is only used on the Classic and Mega boards.
Mystery Box spot
One of the spots of the Box is in the room, next to Quick Revive.
The Moon (Black Ops III) leaderboard keeps boards for solo and for two, three and four players. It is kept apart from the Moon board of Black Ops: the room is the same, but the two games are not comparable. It has three categories: No GobbleGums, the reference board, then Classic GobbleGums and Mega GobbleGums. Its rules:
Doors closed
Reach the highest round you can without opening any door.
No GobbleGums
On the reference board, neither Classic nor Mega GobbleGums are allowed.
Classic GobbleGums
On this board, only Classic GobbleGums may be used.
Mega GobbleGums
On this board, at least one Mega GobbleGum is used. Flavor Hexed, Self Medication, Near Death Experience, Power Vacuum and Round Robbin are not allowed.
Full rounds
Every round must be played in full, and glitches and exploits are not allowed.
Video
The whole game must be recorded, and each player shows their gum loadout before, during or after the game. On the reference board, a co-op player who does not show the lobby needs their own point of view.
Where to post it
A Twitch video must be saved as a highlight, since past broadcasts are not accepted; a YouTube video must be public or unlisted.
