Wittenau Sanatorium, the asylum where Group 935 tested Element 115 on the patients. Verruckt is the map that invented most of what Zombies became: the Perk-a-Cola machines, the power switch, the electric traps and the split spawn that puts the players on two sides of a locked door.

The layout is symmetrical and cruel: two wings that only meet once the power is on, the switch in the middle, and electric traps that cost points every time you use them. There are no hellhounds on Verruckt: the zombies are the only enemy.

Each wing is its own First Room: the Juggernog side and the Quick Revive side are ranked separately, Double Side holds both at two players, three and four players share the full map, and Reversed flips the usual 3P split.

Fast, not far

A First Room speedrun is the opposite exercise of a high round : the room is the same, the goal is not. Instead of holding the spawn as long as possible, you clear the set number of rounds as fast as you can.

Which means the two boards never mix. A run that ranks first here would sit far down a high round board, and the other way around.

The rules are those of the room itself : no leaving the spawn, no exploit that skips it. What changes is the clock — it starts when the player spawns into the map and stops when the number of the next round appears.

Every time is backed by its video, as everywhere else on ZFRR. Send yours through the contact form and it goes up within the day.

Rules / Informations

We do not maintain our own ruleset. ZFRR follows the competitive First Room rules written and maintained by the player Zi0 on his site B2, the reference used across the Zombies community.

B2 gathers the global rules (no memory tools, no macros, no out-of-bounds glitches, no emulators) and those specific to the First Room category: doors stay closed, fast ray, rapid fire and the fast-throw grenade glitch are forbidden, while fast knifing and split-screen remain allowed. Every change is voted on publicly.

Game versions and platforms

The version the game is played on is part of the rules. A run played on a platform or a client refused below is not listed, whatever the round or the time — and a run already on the board is removed from it.

Call of Duty : Black Ops

Platform	Rule
Steam The host must show the files of the `zone/Common` directory and launch the game from the executable itself, not from a shortcut.	ALLOWED
Plutonium The anticheat output must stay visible : the text in the upper right corner and the checksums in the upper left corner are never covered.	ALLOWED
BGamer Same requirement as Steam : show `zone/Common` and launch from the executable.	ALLOWED
Xbox 360 / One / Series	ALLOWED
PS3	ALLOWED
PS4 / PS5	ALLOWED
Wii	NOT ALLOWED

Timing a run

Everything above applies : a speedrun is the same room, with the same rules. What follows is what the clock adds.

A run is timed from the moment the player spawns into the map to the round-up animation of the round being run : the clock stops when that round appears on screen, not when it is cleared.
The timer must be visible on screen from the first frame to the last, in the same recording as the run.
It must never be cut, hidden or interrupted while the game is running — no jump cut, no overlay covering it, no camera change that drops it out of frame.
A pause is allowed, and the timer may stop with it : what is forbidden is losing sight of the clock while you are playing.
The run must be one continuous recording. A time split across two videos cannot be checked and will not be listed.

A run that breaks these rules is not accepted, whatever the round reached. If a username, a nationality or a score looks wrong, tell us through the contact form.
