The First Room

The Hangar during an early round, with the Moon Pool door at the back and an Atlas 45 in hand, Carrier, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Zombies

Carrier is the first Exo Zombies map with two starting rooms. The team is split between the Hangar and the Gun Deck, with at most two players on each side, and the official tips of the map warn that «the match begins with the group split in pairs». On ZFRR each side is a First Room of its own, ranked on its own board: the MK14 side is the Hangar and the Bulldog side is the Gun Deck, after the only wall weapon of each.

Every player starts with an Atlas 45 pistol and four frag grenades, and without an exoskeleton: the Exo Suits are in the Cargo deck, behind the doors. Both sides have a door to the Armory for 1,250 points, and each has a second door for 750 points: the Moon Pool from the Hangar, the Med Bay from the Gun Deck. The 3D Printer, the Mystery Box of Exo Zombies, starts in the Armory.

The Hangar: MK14 side

MK14

500 points, a semi-automatic marksman rifle, the only wall weapon of the Hangar.

Hangar doors

The Moon Pool door, 750 points, and the Armory door, 1,250 points.

Hangar power switch

Below a ledge. The power switches of the ship are needed for the Exo Upgrades and the Exo Suits.

Hangar Exo Medic

Outside the locker room, on the ledge across from the 3D Printer spot: 500 points in solo, where it works as a self-revive, and 1,500 points with other players, where it makes reviving twice as fast. It is the only Exo Upgrade that does not need the exoskeleton.

Hangar 3D Printer spot

In the locker room, next to the crew lockers. The 3D Printer only comes here after it has moved away from the Armory.

Captain DJ’s locker

One of the crew lockers, with an eye scanner. It holds the fourth data tablet of the main quest, and a shark toy of the music Easter egg sits on top of it.

Hangar teleporter

A teleporter stands in the Hangar. The main quest guides place the second data tablet beside it and say it only becomes usable once that tablet is picked up.

The corridor above the power switch

A passage that leads round to the Gun Deck, where the player drops down. It can only be reached with an Exo Suit.

Security

A 500-point security system above the power switch, out of reach at the start of a game.

The Gun Deck: Bulldog side

Bulldog

500 points, a semi-automatic shotgun, the only wall weapon of the Gun Deck.

The deck

The Gun Deck is open to the sea on one side.

The vault door

The four data tablets of the main quest are placed here, and the C4 that ends it opens it.

Gun Deck doors

The Med Bay door, 750 points, and the Armory door, 1,250 points.

Gun Deck Exo Medic

The second Exo Medic of the map, with the same prices as in the Hangar.

Gun Deck 3D Printer spot

On the bottom floor, under the walkway near Exo Medic. Like the Hangar spot, it is empty at the start.

The fishing pole

On the upper level. The main quest builds it from parts given by the Weapon Disposal Machine of the Armory.

The second Upgrade Station

To the right of the fishing pole, unlocked once three data tablets of the main quest have been retrieved. The other Upgrade Station is in the Armory.

The Carrier leaderboard has three categories: MK14 side and Bulldog side, played in solo or with two players, and Mixed, played with two to four players. Its rules:

Doors closed

Reach the highest round you can without opening any door or barrier.

Full rounds

Every round must be played in full, and glitches and exploits are not allowed.

MK14 side

All players must play on the MK14 side.

Bulldog side

All players must play on the Bulldog side.

Mixed

From two to four players, under the common rules of this list alone.

Platforms

On PC the S1X client is allowed. Playing on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 is not allowed, because the game plays too differently on the previous generation.

Video

The whole game must be recorded. A Twitch video must be saved as a highlight, since past broadcasts are not accepted; a YouTube video must be public or unlisted.

Overview

Carrier is the third Exo Zombies map of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, released with Supremacy, the third DLC pack of the game. After the end of Infection, Lennox of the Sentinel Task Force shoots Oz, calling him the source of the infection, and has Lilith, Decker and Kahn sedated. Oz’s narration calls them Atlas’s «prized pets»: an Atlas carrier shoots down the Sentinel aircraft, and the survivors and Lennox end up on board the ship. Its in-game description reads: «The source of the contagion has infected Atlas’s prized super-carrier! Fight with up to 4 players to survive against the endless waves of mutant zombies!» The other Exo Zombies maps are in the book of Advanced Warfare.

The 3D Printer costs 1,000 points a use and holds the new LZ-52 Limbo, whose shot draws a laser line that cuts through a row of zombies, and the M1 Irons. The Armory sells the new Teleport Grenade, which teleports its thrower to where it lands and kills the zombies around that spot.

Main quest: Flotsam & Jetsam

The main quest of Carrier is named after its achievement, Flotsam & Jetsam: the players gather four data tablets, place them in the vault door of the Gun Deck, then blow the vault open with C4 to sink the ship. It goes through a hidden power generator behind Chompy, a fishing pole built from the Weapon Disposal Machine, a laser maze run while drunk, a trip to a desert island and a shark in the Moon Pool.
