The Savage Impaler

The Savage Impaler is a hidden wonder weapon of Dead of the Night: an automatic crossbow with 24 bolts in the magazine and 288 in reserve. A few body shots kill a zombie, a headshot kills it at once, and it is especially strong against the Nosferatu. It looks like the NX ShadowClaw of Black Ops III, with steampunk additions.

The crossbow lies on a stone altar of the Crypt, under the Cemetery.

The six candles

The quest starts by blowing out six small candles, each knifed on its wick; a sound confirms each one. A Werewolf can also blow out a candle with a melee attack nearby.

on a table across from the Strife in the East Gallery;
on a bedside table next to the Escargot in the Master Bedroom;
on a musician’s bench of the Music Room, close to the doorway to the East Balcony;
on a small wooden bench on the west side of the Wine Cellar;
on a small table of the Study, across from a table where a shield part can lie;
on a table of the East Hallway, below the painting of a cliffside.

The ghost and the jewels

With the six candles out, go to the Forest: to the right of the portal back to the North Atrium, a gravestone spews water. Use it to enter a blood-red spirit vision.
Find the ghost of a woman in the mansion, often in the Music Room, the Entrance Hall, the Dining Room or the Bedroom Hallway, and escort her to the Mausoleum. If the vision fades before she arrives, use the gravestone again.
At the Mausoleum, the ghost possesses zombies one at a time, with a turquoise glow. Kill one with a weapon, one with a lethal grenade, one with a shield bash and one with the specialist weapon. Each drops a piece of jewellery.
Place the four jewels in the four white circles on the floor of the Mausoleum. A large white symbol appears around the Perk Altar.
Kill a Nosferatu over each of the four white markers. A scream sounds at each one, and the floor of the Mausoleum glows blue.

The Crypt

The stone coffin to the left of the left-hand stairs to the Mausoleum now slides back and opens the Crypt, a small stone chamber with pillars, torches and three stained glass windows. The crossbow lies on the altar at the back, and it can only be taken once every player is inside. When it is picked up, the torches turn green and Nosferatu and Crimson Nosferatu come out of the coffins; the Crypt stays locked until all of them are dead.

The Savage Impaler is then added to the Mystery Box, for the other players or for anyone who trades it away.
