The Stake Knife of Dead of the Night, the wooden stake that kills any Nosferatu in one strike: the elemental symbols of the Forest trees, the four stones of the Greenhouse, the branch, the 15 Nosferatu souls and the bench of the Mausoleum.

The Stake Knife

The Stake Knife of Dead of the Night is a wooden stake made from a branch of the Forest. It kills a zombie in one hit only in the first rounds, but it always kills a Nosferatu or a Crimson Nosferatu in one strike, whatever the round. Like every melee weapon, it can be strengthened by the Ethereal Razor elixir.

The symbols of the Forest

  1. Enter the Forest and take the leftmost path towards the Pack-a-Punch. Shortly after the entrance stands a tree with a lantern and an elemental symbol carved into it.
  2. Face that tree with its symbol in the middle of the screen: three more symbols can be seen on three trees behind it, two on the left and one on the right. Note the order of the four symbols, from left to right.
  3. Outside the Greenhouse Laboratory, find four small stones with the same symbols: two on the garden walls just to the right of the entrance of the laboratory, two around the Ra altar.
  4. Shoot the four stones in the order of the trees. A sparkle sound and a remark of the character confirm it. A wrong order makes the Stake Knife impossible to get for the rest of the game.

The branch

  1. Back in the Forest, just past the first tree, another tree bears the four symbols. Knife them in the same order with the Bowie Knife: each one gets a scratch mark.
  2. Bash the four symbols with the Ballistic Shield. A large wooden branch falls out of the tree.
  3. Carry the branch to the Mausoleum and place it on the altar outside the Odin Perk Altar.
  4. Kill 15 Nosferatu around the branch. Their souls fill it until it gives off an orange smoke.
  5. Take the branch to the crafting bench at the south entrance of the Cemetery and craft the Stake Knife.

Staking a Nosferatu in the Dining Room unlocks the achievement Well Done.
