Elevators and the power

On Classified, the Pentagon has three floors: the office floor at the top, where the game starts, the War Room in the middle and the Laboratories at the bottom. At the start of a game, two elevators are the only way between them, 500 points a ride:

The office elevator

The small one, off the Deserted Hallway, between the office floor and the upper level of the War Room.

The War Room elevator

The larger one, from the lower level of the War Room down to the Laboratories.

The power switch

In the Laboratories, in a room behind the Soda perk machine. Turning it on wakes the teleporters of every floor and is needed for the DEFCON switches and the electric traps.

Teleporters

Once the power is on, a teleporter on each floor moves the players around the building. The destination is drawn at random, but the symbol floating inside the teleporter tells which floor it leads to:

DEFCON and the Panic Room

With the power on, four DEFCON switches lower the security of the Pentagon. They can be flipped in any order:

  1. Server Room: a room off the lower level of the War Room, behind a door.
  2. War Room, lower level: to the left of the elevator down to the Laboratories.
  3. War Room, upper level: to the right of the elevator up to the offices.
  4. War Room, upper level: to the right of the Spitfire wall buy.

At DEFCON 5, the large teleporter in the middle of the lower War Room sends the players to the Panic Room. No zombie comes in for the first 30 seconds. The Panic Room holds one of the three parts of the Teleporter Signal Amplifier, on the spot where the Pack-a-Punch stood in Five.

The Teleporter Signal Amplifier

Unlike Five, the Pack-a-Punch of Classified is not in the Pentagon but at Groom Lake, in Nevada. To reach it, the players build the Teleporter Signal Amplifier from three parts, one on each floor:

In the Main Offices of the office floor, on one of three spots: to the left of the Brew perk machine, under a desk near the teleporter, or on top of an overturned table in the middle of the room.

In the Morgue of the Laboratories, on one of three spots: on a corpse half out of the leftmost cryo-tube, on a chair in the side room next to a Mystery Box spot, or on a table by the exit to the North Laboratories.

The amplifier

Always in the Panic Room, reached at DEFCON 5.

  1. Collect the three parts.
  2. Build the amplifier at one of the two workbenches, in Central Filing on the office floor or in Weapon Testing in the Laboratories.
  3. Place it on the small teleporter in the lower level of the War Room.
  4. Raise the DEFCON level to 5 again and take the large teleporter of the War Room: it now leads to Groom Lake.

Once the amplifier is in place, the Panic Room can still be reached through the teleporter of the Server Room.

Groom Lake and the Pack-a-Punch

Groom Lake is the base of Area 51, the same place where Moon begins. The Pack-a-Punch Machine waits behind the spot where the players land. The first upgrade of a weapon costs 5000 points.

Surviving at Groom Lake

After three full rounds spent there without leaving, part of the debris around the area is cleared and a Max Ammo drops. Leaving early sends the players back to the War Room.

Bonfire Sale

It drops as well if the hits taken do not exceed the number of the current round. For 60 seconds, it lowers the Pack-a-Punch to 1000 points and links every teleporter to it.

Once the second area is cleared, it holds the briefcase of the Winter’s Howl quest.

In the First Room

Doors closed, none of this is reachable. The office elevator stands in the Deserted Hallway, behind a door of the Conference Room, and the power switch is two floors down, so a First Room game on Classified is played without the power, without the teleporters and without the Pack-a-Punch.
