The First Room

On ZFRR, the First Room of Die Maschine is the Yard, the snowy clearing where the Requiem strike team is dropped by helicopter at the start of every game. It lies in the woods outside the ruins of the old Nacht der Untoten bunker, now covered in graffiti, and the first objective the game gives is “Gain entrance to the Facility”. Black Ops Cold War lets every player start with a weapon of their own loadout, so a First Room game here does not depend on a wall weapon: none of the twelve wall weapons of the map hangs in the Yard.
The way on is a green door in the bunker wall, which leads into the Omega Outpost, the first room of the old Nacht der Untoten building, for 500 points. In a First Room game it stays shut, so the power, the Pack-a-Punch and every perk machine stay out of reach.
The Omega Outpost door
The green door in the graffiti wall of the bunker, 500 points. Behind it, the original Nacht der Untoten room and the rest of the map.
The broken tank
A wrecked tank under the snow, at the edge of the Yard. It does nothing in a normal game; the main quest needs it to free the Decontamination Agent.
The exfil radio
From round 10 a team can call Raptor One and leave the map by helicopter. A record run never does: the game would end there.
A Mystery Box spot
The Yard is one of the seven places of the Mystery Box, but the Box always starts at the Crash Site or the Pond, both behind doors.
The Crafting Table
Guides place a workbench in the Yard, by a staircase. It turns salvage into lethal and tactical equipment, and into scorestreaks, which the No Support board forbids.
No perk
The six perk machines are behind doors. Juggernog, Quick Revive and Stamin-Up run on generators and need no power, but they stand at the Crash Site, the Pond and the Bedroom.
The enemies
Zombies, Plaguehounds on their special rounds, Megatons and, from round 20, Heavy Zombies all come into the Yard.
A challenge of the game
The achievement Entamaphobia asks the players to stay in the Yard for 15 rounds, the First Room of the map in all but name.
The Die Maschine leaderboard has two categories, each with boards for solo and for two, three and four players: No Support, the reference, and With Support. The rules shared by all Black Ops Cold War maps are explained in the Black Ops Cold War book, and how ZFRR counts a round of this game in Black Ops Cold War: Rounds. The rules of this board:
Doors closed
Reach the highest round you can without opening any door, and play every round in full.
No Support
Support items, the scorestreaks such as the Sentry Turret, the Chopper Gunner or the War Machine, are never used on the reference board. On the With Support board every one of them may be used.
Outbreak first
Loading into Outbreak before the map to get the extended interaction range is allowed.
No glitches
Glitches and exploits are not allowed, and neither is duplicating a Wonder Weapon.
Video
The whole game is recorded, with the health, the points and the round counter never covered and the game audio heard. On the No Support board, co-op games need the point of view of every player.
Where to post it
A Twitch video must be saved as a highlight, since past broadcasts are not accepted; a YouTube video must be public or unlisted, and it must stay online, or the run leaves the board.
