Starting loadout

On Ancient Evil, as on every map of Black Ops 4, each player picks a starting loadout before the game. Every game starts with the knife. The starting weapon is one of the Welling, Strife, RK 7 Garrison, Saug 9mm, Essex Model 07 or MOG 12, and the equipment one of frag grenades, the Acid Bomb, the Claymore, Wraith Fire or the Sentry.

The special weapon is chosen the same way, among the Chakrams of Vengeance, the Hammer of Valhalla, the Scepter of Ra and the Viper and Dragon.

Wall weapons

Eighteen wall buys, from the two pistols and rifles of the Temple of Apollo to the Koshka of the Cliff Ruins, on the Dark Side of the map. The River of Sorrow, Python Pass and the Cliff Ruins are on the Dark Side, only reached by riding Pegasus.

Mystery Box

The Box costs 950 points a spin. It has six spots: the Offering of the Attalids and the Gymnasium Bathhouse, the two possible starting spots, then the Spartan Monument, the Castalian Spring, the Cliff Ruins and Python Pass, by the Shrine of Charon. None of them is in the Temple of Apollo. On the Chaos maps, the teddy bear that sends the Box away is replaced by a laughing metal skull.

Its weapons: Maddox RFB, Hitchcock M9, Rampart 17, Vapr-XKG, Grav, SWAT RFT, Peacekeeper, AN-94, DoubleCross, Escargot, Spitfire, Cordite, MP-40, Daemon 3XB, Switchblade X9, VMP, MicroMG 9mm, SwordFish, Essex Model 07, ABR 223, S6 Stingray, M16, Hades, VKM 750, Zweihänder, Tigershark, SDM, Paladin HB50, Outlaw, Vendetta, Locus, Havelina AA50, Mozu, RK 7 Garrison, KAP 45, SG12, MOG 12, Rampage, Argus, Hellion Salvo, Ballistic Knife, Reaver C86. It also holds the Homunculus, and the Pegasus Strike once it has been built.

Wonder weapons and buildables

Apollo’s Will

A bronze shield and its spear, built at the worktable of the Marketplace. The spear is thrown and explodes, fifteen times per shield, or used to stab.

Pegasus Strike

A spear forged in the Cliff Ruins. Planted in the ground, it calls Pegasus, who strikes the zombies around it with lightning for about 30 seconds.

Primordial Hands

The Hands of Gaia, Charon, Hemera and Ouranos, four gauntlets each tied to a god and its shrine. Each one is upgraded twice, to the Redeemed then the Exalted Hand.

Homunculus

From the Box, two per player. Thrown, the little creature leaps from zombie to zombie and kills them with its club for about twenty seconds.

In the First Room

Doors closed, the arsenal is the one of the Temple of Apollo: the Strife and the Essex Model 07, 500 points each on the walls, and the starting weapon. The Purist board of ZFRR only allows the Welling, the Strife or the Essex Model 07 as a starting weapon, frag grenades or Acid Bombs as equipment, and no special weapon.
