First Room rules

A Farm First Room game is played in the yard and the barn, with the farmhouse door shut. ZFRR follows the B2 rules, and Farm has a few of its own on top of the common First Room ones (no out-of-bounds glitch, no fast ray, no rapid fire, fast knifing allowed):

The Box

Already banned before 2023, the ban was kept that year by a narrow margin, 52.2% against. Games with the Box are ranked on the separate With box board of ZFRR.

A separate ranked First Room for the upper floor of the barn was put to the vote in 2026 and rejected, four votes to two.

Hellhounds

ZWR allowed games with dogs in 2019, and those played before the ban stay valid. Few Farm players took part in the 2026 vote, and B2 notes that the rule deserves a new one.

1500 points, 500 in solo, outside the barn. In solo it brings you back up after a down.

500 points, downstairs in the barn, the only gun on the walls of the First Room.

6000 points, in the shed. One punch per zombie up to round 14.

Juggernog and Speed Cola are in the farmhouse, so a First Room game on Farm is played without them. The Farm leaderboard lists every run with its video.

Playing the whole map

Outside the First Room, the guides agree on a simple plan:

  1. On round 1, shoot each zombie twice, then knife it, for extra points.
  2. Open the farmhouse door as soon as you have 750 points.
  3. Within the first five rounds, buy the MP5 or spin the Box on the balcony for a better gun.
  4. Take Juggernog and Quick Revive.
  5. Train the zombies around the truck in the middle of the yard.
  6. When the loop gets too tight, buy Double Tap in the barn and widen the loop, around the barn as well as the truck.

The upper floor of the farmhouse

Next to Juggernog, by the broken wall, you see zombies coming up the stairs, through the window and onto the balcony by the Box. When it gets too crowded, jump down into the yard.

Back to the house

Once down, group the zombies behind you, loop around the truck or through the barn, and run back upstairs. The barn is riskier when zombies block its front.

In co-op

The map is small, and four players get in each other’s way. Running together is harder than in solo.
