Starting loadout

Every game of Die Rise starts with an M1911, the knife and frag grenades. The spawn room, the First Room, sells a single weapon: the Olympia, for 500 points, to the right of the first door.

Wall buys

With fourteen of them, Die Rise has more wall buys than any other Zombies map, and the most assault rifles and sniper rifles on the walls, three of each. In the upside-down building, the wall buys hang upside down.

When you buy the SVU-AS, Richtofen speaks to Stuhlinger, and Maxis to the three others, about the Easter egg. PDW-57, AN-94 and SVU-AS only exist on Die Rise and Buried: put one in the fridge and take it out on TranZit, and you get a Chicom CQB, a Galil or a FAL instead.

Melee weapons

Galvaknuckles

6000 points. One punch kills a zombie until round 14, and a Jumping Jack until the fourth Jumping Jack round. They strike the tower in the last step of High Maintenance.

Bowie Knife

3000 points. One-hit kills from round 1 to 9, and on Jumping Jacks until their third round.

Melee kills are the easiest way to clear a Jumping Jack round without missing a shot, and earn the free perk: see the Jumping Jacks page.

Sliquifier

Firing the Sliquifier, its purple goo spraying in Die Rise, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

The wonder weapon of Die Rise is built, not bought: four parts, one workbench, in the tower with the power switch. It fires a purple liquid that leaves a slippery puddle; zombies that touch it explode, and the blast chains from one to the next, so a single shot can wipe out a whole group. Only one player can take it from the workbench; once it is lost or swapped, it goes into the Mystery Box. A Max Ammo refills it. Since a patch, it stops doing damage at round 100. Parts and spots are on the buildables page.

Mystery Box

950 points a spin. It starts every game in the upside-down building, standing upside down like everything there, and can also move to the Food Court and to a hidden corner of the dragon rooftop, next to a perk elevator.

It holds the Five-Seven (single and dual wield), KAP-40, Python, Executioner, Chicom CQB, SMR, FAL, M8A1, Type 25, MTAR, Galil, M1216, S12, Barrett M82A1, DSR 50, HAMR, RPD, Ballistic Knife, War Machine, RPG, Ray Gun, Monkey Bombs, the Ray Gun Mark II once Vengeance is installed, and the Sliquifier once it has been built.

Ballistic Knife, menu render, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Ballistic Knife

Pack-a-Punched into the Krauss Refibrillator, it is needed on Maxis’ side of the Easter egg.

Ray Gun Mark II, model render, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Ray Gun Mark II

Added to the Box by the Vengeance map pack, with Buried.

Teddy bear

As on TranZit and Buried, the Box flies away and Richtofen says “Bye bye”.

Ray Gun on the wall

Players who hold the Ray Gun wall-buy Persistent Upgrade get a Ray Gun for 500 points from the Olympia wall buy. On Die Rise it even works offline, for the length of a game. Since the Olympia is the spawn room’s own wall buy, the upgrade is banned on the First Room board. How to earn it is on the Persistent Upgrades page.

In a First Room game

With the doors closed, the Olympia is the only weapon you can buy, besides the M1911 and grenades you start with. No Box, no M14, no Ray Gun from the wall.
