No power, five machines

Shi No Numa has no power switch: every perk works as soon as its machine is on the map. In the Black Ops version there are five machines, and only one of them has a fixed place.

Mule Kick

4000 points, a third weapon. Always in the spawn room, to the left of the Gewehr 43, and the only perk of the First Room. Added by an update in September 2011.

The Juggernog machine, priced 2500, standing in one of the huts, Shi No Numa, Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies

Juggernog

2500 points, more health. In one of the four huts, drawn at random.

The Quick Revive machine in the Comm Room, priced 1500, with the STG-44 chalk outline on the wall, Shi No Numa, Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies

Quick Revive

1500 points, faster revives, or 500 in solo, where it brings the player back up alone. In a hut, drawn at random.

The Double Tap Root Beer machine, priced 2000, in one of the huts, Shi No Numa, Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies

Double Tap Root Beer

2000 points, faster fire. In a hut, drawn at random.

Speed Cola

3000 points, faster reloads. In a hut, drawn at random.

A player can only hold four perks at once, so with Mule Kick on the map one machine always stays out of reach.

How the huts share out the perks

  1. The first gate opened on the ground floor of the main hut makes the game shuffle Juggernog, Quick Revive, Speed Cola and Double Tap between the four huts, one each. Mule Kick is left out of the draw.
  2. Nothing shows in a hut until its door is opened.
  3. When a hut door opens, its machine appears, lifts off the floor and spins through the perks for about five seconds, then settles on the perk drawn for that hut.
  4. The draw does not change for the rest of the game.

In the Black Ops version, standing in front of a machine while it spins shows “You must turn on the power first”, although there is no power to turn on.

Quick Revive in solo

In solo, Quick Revive costs 500 and gets the player back up after going down. It works three times in a game; after the third, the machine disappears from its hut.

The four huts

Each hut is reached in two purchases: a gate on the ground floor of the main hut, for 1000 points, opens a path across the swamp, then the hut door costs 750. The water of the swamp slows the players down, not the zombies.

Every hut also has a Mystery Box spot and an Electro-Shock Defense at its entrance: 1000 points to electrify the doorway for a while, killing the zombies that walk through. No power is needed.

First Room

With the doors closed, Mule Kick is the only perk a player can buy, for 4000 points: a third weapon slot, with only the Arisaka, the Gewehr 43 and the starting M1911 to fill it. B2 allows the machine to be removed in solo, on Steam by launching the game offline and on Plutonium with an option, but not in co-op.
