Starting loadout

Every game of Shadows of Evil starts with a Bloodhound revolver, the knife and frag grenades. A player who has earned A Better Tomorrow, the Revelations achievement for completing every Easter egg of the game, can start with the RK5 instead. The Bloodhound is also the last stand pistol, and in solo a player who goes down gets it Pack-a-Punched. The starting alley of Easy Street, the First Room, sells two weapons: the RK5 and the Sheiva, 500 points each.

Harvest Pods

Apothicon pods grow on the walls all over Morg City, the starting alley included. A player needs a Fumigator to open them: one spawns in each district, three of its possible spots being in the alley. Left alone, a pod swells from green to red, then purple, and the reward gets better at each stage. An opened pod grows back green a few rounds later.

A green Harvest Pod on a wall, Shadows of Evil, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

Green pod

The Locus, the Bloodhound or the RK5, a power-up, 500 bonus points for every player standing, a Rocket Shield charge, one or two live grenades, a zombie, a Parasite, or nothing.

A red Harvest Pod, Shadows of Evil, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

Red pod

The L-CAR 9, the KRM-262 or the Kuda, a better chance of power-ups, or a green pod reward.

A purple Harvest Pod, Shadows of Evil, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

Purple pod

The Man-O-War, the HVK-30, the Haymaker 12, the Bootlegger, very rarely the Ray Gun, the best chance of power-ups, or the Margwa Tentacle of the Apothicon Servant.

In a First Room game, the pods are the only way past the two walls of the alley. The ZFRR rules allow patching the Locus in the pods.

Mystery Box

950 points a spin, on seven spots, none of them in the starting alley. It holds the Bootlegger, Weevil, Pharo, Man-O-War, HVK-30, ICR-1, 205 Brecci, Argus, Haymaker 12, Dingo, BRM, 48 Dredge, Gorgon, Locus, Drakon, SVG-100, XM-53, the Ray Gun and the Li’l Arnie. Once a player has built the Apothicon Servant, copies of it join the Box.

Wonder weapons and equipment

The Apothicon Servant, first-person model, Shadows of Evil, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

Apothicon Servant

Built at a workbench from a Margwa Heart, a Margwa Tentacle and Xenomatter. Its shot opens a purple black hole that swallows the zombies whatever the round, then explodes. It goes by four different names on this map, and cannot be Pack-a-Punched on this map.

A Li'l Arnie grown on the ground among the zombies, Shadows of Evil, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

Li’l Arnie

From the Box, three per refill. A jar with a small Apothicon inside, which grows when thrown, draws the zombies, kills them one by one, then explodes. A Margwa destroys it at once.

The Rocket Shield in first-person view, Shadows of Evil, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

Rocket Shield

Built from three parts, one in each district: the eagle plate in the Canals, the fuel tanks in the Waterfront, the window in the Footlight district. It blocks hits from behind, and its rocket boost charges through the zombies, three charges at a time.

A Widow's Wine grenade, Shadows of Evil, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

Widow’s Wine grenades

They replace the grenades of a player who drinks Widow’s Wine, and trap the zombies in webs.

Goddard Apparatus

The upgraded Rocket Shield, with more health and four charges. Each player earns it by charging through at least ten zombies twelve times in a row.

Apothicon Sword

The Specialist weapon, earned in the main quest. Each player charges an egg at four Apothicon statues to get one, and each character has their own sword.

The Apothicon Servant and the Li’l Arnies

Weapons in the First Room

Doors closed, the Box, the workbenches, the shield parts and the Apothicon statues are all out of reach. The weapons of a First Room game come from the RK5 and the Sheiva on the walls of the alley, and from the Harvest Pods that grow inside it.
