Starting loadout

Every game of Call of the Dead starts with an M1911, the knife and frag grenades. The weapons the actors use in the intro, Rooker’s sawed-off shotguns, Trejo’s machetes and Englund’s pitchfork, are not in the game; only the Sickle is.

Wall buys

Twelve weapons and items are bought off the walls. Only the two on the bridge of the starting area are in the First Room.

Olympia

A double-barrel shotgun, two shots before each reload. One of the two guns of the First Room.

M14

The semi-automatic rifle of the bridge, the other First Room gun, and the weapon First Room players use to wear George down.

MP40

Back on a Black Ops map after its absence on “Five” and Ascension.

Stakeout

A pump shotgun that a Steam guide suggests buying early, in the first rounds, when the lighthouse side is opened first.

Semtex

Sticky grenades that replace the frags. Refilling them costs 130 points.

Sickle

The Russian counterpart of the Bowie Knife. The only way to it is the Ice Slide.

Mystery Box

950 points a spin, on six spots, none of which starts the game in the starting area. Its pool:

  • Pistols: CZ75 (single or dual wield) and Python.
  • Submachine gun: Spectre.
  • Rifles: FN FAL, G11, FAMAS, AUG, Commando and Galil.
  • Shotguns: HS-10 and SPAS-12.
  • Sniper rifles: Dragunov and L96A1.
  • Light machine guns: RPK and HK21.
  • Launchers and specials: Ballistic Knife, Crossbow, China Lake and M72 LAW.
  • Wonder Weapons and equipment: Ray Gun, V-R11, Scavenger and Matryoshka Dolls.

During the Easter egg, the Scavenger becomes more likely once the generators step begins, and the V-R11 once the Golden Rod step begins.

V-R11

The new Wonder Weapon of the map, from the Box. Its beam deals no damage: it turns a zombie back into a human, who screams, runs for the nearest water and freezes to death there, with the zombies chasing him. It holds 3 shots a magazine and 9 in all.

The V-R11 Lazarus, the upgraded V-R11 with its red camouflage, in first person, in Call of the Dead, Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies

V-R11 Lazarus

The upgraded version, 6 shots a magazine and 18 in all. Three shots make a zombie explode, which earns Stuntman; on a teammate it adds a temporary Insta-Kill; on George in water it sends him away for the round.

On a teammate

The zombies ignore him for a while, which helps a revive. Shots stack.

On George

It calms him for 10 to 15 seconds, or angers him if he was calm.

In the Easter egg

At the right step, the human runs to the foot of the lighthouse instead and floats up in the green light.

Scavenger

Scavenger explosive sniper rifle, render, Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies

A bolt-action sniper rifle from the Box, found only on this map. Its bolts stick to whatever they hit, zombies included, and explode three seconds later with a huge blast, a one-shot kill for many rounds. It holds 3 bolts a magazine and 15 in reserve. Its blast can anger George and hurt the player who fires it too close, which PhD Flopper prevents.

Shooting on Location achievement icon, two crossed sniper rifles and the number 10, Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies

Shooting on Location

The achievement asks for 10 zombies killed by one Scavenger shot fired from more than 100 feet away.

Hyena Infra-dead

The upgraded Scavenger, with twice the magazine and the ammunition, an infrared variable-zoom scope and purple explosions. One of the best weapons against George.

Power-up weapons

Death Machine minigun, model render, Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies

Death Machine

The minigun George drops when he is beaten, along with a Random Perk Bottle.

The Wunderwaffe DG-2 of the Lightning Bolt in the player's hands, frozen zombies on the floor, in Call of the Dead, Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies

Wunderwaffe DG-2

The Lightning Bolt power-up, given at the end of the Easter egg and then by George instead of the Death Machine, for players who own the achievement. It cannot be upgraded, lasts until its ammunition runs out, and Max Ammo refills it.

In the First Room

With the doors closed, the arsenal is the M1911, the Olympia, the M14 and the grenades. The Box never comes within reach, so the V-R11 and the Scavenger are out of the question; the only extra weapons are the ones George drops, the Death Machine or, for players who earned the Easter egg achievement before, the Wunderwaffe DG-2.
