Persistent Upgrades

Buried is the third and last map with Persistent Upgrades, the hidden bonuses of TranZit and Die Rise. They are earned by playing a certain way, lost the same way, follow you from game to game, and only work online. A green flash and a line from your character tell you when one is gained; a faint eerie sound tells you when one is lost.

Only on Buried

Flopper

A PhD Flopper in all but name. Diving makes an explosion, and splash damage mostly stops hurting you; unlike the perk, over-cooked grenades and fall damage still do. The perk machine itself is nowhere on the map.

Half-Off

Everything costs half price during Double Points. Stacked with a Fire Sale, the Box falls to 5 points, and a Ghost only steals 1000 points per hit.

Better Box on Buried

Its favourable pool adds the Ray Gun Mark II, the Paralyzer, the Time Bomb, the MTAR, the M1216 and the S12.

On the First Room boards

Ray Gun wall-buy

Banned on the Classic and Quick side boards, and the whole point of the Ray Gun board, where the Olympia in Processing sells a Ray Gun for 500 points.

Juggernog upgrade

Allowed, but leaving and rejoining to keep it past round 14 is banned: a player who rejoins with it past round 15 no longer loses it when downed, because of missing game logic.

The rules and records are on the Buried leaderboard.

The Bank

The bank teller window, Hold to withdraw in Buried, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Inside the western bank, reached through the underground tunnel near the chalk wall or through an opening from above. One teller window takes deposits, the other pays out. The account is the same as on TranZit and Die Rise.

Sharing points

Hit the keys on the wooden wall to the left of the tunnel entrance with the Galvaknuckles or a Bowie Knife. It costs 1100 points and drops a 1000-point Bonus Points power-up for a teammate.

Time Bomb trick

Plant a Time Bomb, turn your points into a Bonus Points drop, then rewind. Your points come back and the drop stays.

The fridge

The Weapon Locker stands on the ground floor of the General Store, near the doorway to the back room. It keeps one weapon for your next game on any of the three Victis maps. A weapon that does not exist on the map comes out as its nearest match: a Python stored on TranZit becomes a Remington New Model Army on Buried, an LSAT taken to TranZit or Die Rise becomes an RPD.
