Always Running

The musical Easter egg of Buried is Always Running, written by Kevin Sherwood and sung by Malukah, 5 minutes 56 long. Hold the use button on three teddy bears to play it:

  1. Against a stack of hay bales next to a hole in the wall, in the Quick Revive tunnel just below Processing.
  2. In one of the candy barrels on the left side of the Candy Store.
  3. In a corner of the mansion room that holds Double Tap Root Beer.

The song quotes earlier Easter egg songs such as Abracadavre and Beauty of Annihilation. It later became playable from the Black Ops III menu.

The ghost at the piano

The Ghost playing the piano, seen from the doorway in Buried, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies
  1. In the Saloon, stand behind the small white line on the floor and throw a Ballistic Knife into the bullseye of the dartboard.
  2. The Saloon piano starts playing by itself. You have about 90 seconds.
  3. Run to the back of the mansion, where a Ghost sits at a second piano, playing the same tune.
  4. Tip her 10 points at the pink box on the piano, to her right.

She gives you a free perk, which can go past the usual perk limit. The Saloon piano can also be played by hand with the use button.

The broken maze fountain, its hole glowing, the portal back to Processing in Buried, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

A road back up

Breaking two fountains opens a portal back to Processing, the First Room.

Easter Egg Tracker

At the back of the Courthouse, a box of lights shows which players finished the quests of TranZit, Die Rise and Buried, and for which side. After the endgame it plays Samantha’s Desire or Richtofen’s Delight.

Mansion perk bottle

When its windows are lit, the house gives a free perk to whoever crosses it and kills every Ghost.

Footsteps in the shaft

In the Dry Gulcher Shaft, listen closely for footsteps running past and a little girl laughing, a sound also heard on TranZit.

Beyond Buried

Revelations

A broken fragment of Buried floats in the last map of Black Ops III, between Mob of the Dead and Origins.

Der Eisendrache

Leroy, as Arthur, appears in one of the paintings used for the Wolf Bow.

Ghost Town

Black Ops 4’s Blackout map rebuilt the town. Throwing an axe into the Saloon dartboard plays the piano tune and opens Leroy’s cell, where a Ray Gun Mark II waits on a chalk question mark.

Tag der Toten

Its records tell the story of Jebediah Brown and his mother, the Ghost.
