My Brother’s Keeper

My Brother’s Keeper is the main Easter egg of Der Eisendrache. Primis must “erase” the Ultimis “Tank” Dempsey, frozen in a capsule at the castle, and carry on Richtofen’s plan to purge Group 935: destroy Griffin Station, on the Moon, along with Doctor Groph. It can be done with one to four players. The title comes from the story of Cain and Abel: “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

The steps

The corrupted Keeper rising from the Moon Pyramid Device in Der Eisendrache, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies
  1. The beacons: put your upgraded bow back in its box and take a plain Wrath of the Ancients from the Family Crypt. In the teleporter room of the Undercroft, shoot each electric rod at the top of the teleporter until its end turns orange. A Margwa growl confirms the step; take your upgraded bow again.
  2. The wisps: four times in a row, one of eight objects around the map sparks, and must be shot with an upgraded bow before time runs out: the phone in the Quick Revive office, a truck tyre near Double Tap, a box by the workbench above Double Tap, a globe next to Samantha’s room, a phone on the pillar by the power switch, a clock in the barracks between the Clock Tower and the church, a radio near Speed Cola and the clock above the church fireplace. A miss, a wrong shot or a plain bow fails the step until the next round.
  3. Time travel, all in one round: the teleporter light turns purple; every player steps in and lands in the same lab in the past, without weapons. Take the blue canister near Groph, take the small fuses on a box right of the teleporter, and remember the three symbols on Groph’s safe, top to bottom. Back in the present, a Panzersoldat appears. Put a fuse in the Death Ray on the Clock Tower side, switch it from “Destroy” to “Protect”, then enter the three symbols at the terminal by the Clock Tower. The safe in the lab opens: take two large fuses and a key card.
  4. The memory game: put the two large fuses in the Tesla coils beside the Death Ray and set it back to “Destroy”. At the terminals outside the Clock Tower and on the rocket launch pad, four symbols flash on the lower screens; touch the screen matching each symbol shown on top until the machine shuts down. Failing the second terminal means playing both again.
  5. Sabotage: press the green button at the back of the Death Ray. A rocket falls, breaks the bell of the Clock Tower and crashes in the Upper Courtyard; Groph locks Dempsey’s capsule behind lightning. Pick up the Vril Generator in the snow by the wreck. There is no prompt for it.
  6. The Keeper: redo the wisps and travel back in time once more; there, use the key card on the computer left of the Kronorium and take the stone tablet with the Keeper symbol. Place the Vril Generator under the knight of the Family Crypt: a ghostly Keeper appears and Hellhounds spawn without end. Follow it to four spots, the church courtyard, Mule Kick, the knight armours past the power switch and Double Tap, where the tablet goes into the wall. Stand in each white circle and kill zombies with the bow whose colour tints the screen. The Keeper then brings the Moon Pyramid Device from the Moon; fit the canister from the past into its empty corner to open it.
  7. The boss: each player plants his Ragnarok DG-4 as a trap on a blue tile around the pyramid and is taken to a dark round arena. The corrupted Keeper rains skulls, raises burning mounds, summons skeletons and sends an electric shock wave that downs anyone not behind a pillar. When a ball of electricity appears under it, plant the Ragnarok in it: the Keeper is pinned and the glowing wound on its chest can be shot. Phases with waves of Panzersoldats, then Hellhounds, alternate with the Keeper until it falls.
  8. The Summoning Key: back at the pyramid, take the Summoning Key from the glowing circle and bring it to the terminal outside the Clock Tower. The castle’s rockets launch at the Moon and destroy it.

The ending

Dempsey in the ending of My Brother's Keeper, Der Eisendrache, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

In the closing scene, Richtofen raises the Summoning Key and lifts the others into the air: the Dempsey of this world must die, and the Key can keep his soul only after death. Dempsey asks to do it himself. He turns off the capsule with a quiet “Good to see ya, Tank”, and Richtofen gathers the soul into the Key.

Reward

My Brother's Keeper achievement icon, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

My Brother’s Keeper

The achievement, 75G, Silver trophy, with 2500 XP and a Gateworm icon on the map menu.

Every perk

Each player gets all nine perks of the map and a short invulnerability. Going down loses them.

Nothing of the quest can be done in a First Room game: the bows, the teleporter, the Death Ray and the Ragnarok DG-4 are all behind the doors of the station.
