Icarus

The plane of Mob of the Dead is called Icarus, a name taken from Weasel’s journal. It is the escape plan of the four inmates: five parts hidden around the prison, assembled on the roof, and one flight that always ends against the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Warden’s Key

Every part is behind a lock, and every lock needs the Warden’s Key. The key hangs on an electrified wire, above the Warden’s Office or above the Cafeteria entrance, one or the other each game. Go into Afterlife, slip through the opening high on the wall, and shock the panel: the key comes down, and anyone can pick it up once back in their body.

Uniforms

Open the gate to the laundry machine with the key, shock the voltmeter in Afterlife, start the machine and wait for the cycle to end.

Rigging

Unlock the number pad with the key, then go into Afterlife at the top of the staircase. Three numbers appear on the walls on the way down. Shock the pad until it matches, then reach the elevator before the timer runs out.

Engine

Overload the three generators of the Generator Room, near the docks. One of them sits in a room only open in Afterlife. The office door is then free.

Valves

Open the case with the key and pick them up.

Tank

Open the gate with the key and shock the voltmeter in Afterlife. In co-op the panel swaps the two gates, so one player shocks while another grabs.

In solo you can carry all five parts at once. In co-op, each player holds one part at a time.

Roof and bridge

Roof access

The build site is on the roof of the prison. Open it in Afterlife: go up through the Infirmary and shock the voltmeter beside the roof door.

Parts on the ramp

Place the five parts, and Icarus is ready to board.

Bridge crash

As soon as a player boards, the take-off starts. In co-op, whoever is not on board is left behind. The plane hits a pillar of the bridge and everyone lands on the deck.

Pack-a-Punch

The only Pack-a-Punch machine of the map stands on the bridge. Brutus shows up more often there, and the space is tight.

Back to the cell block

After a while, electric chairs appear at the end of the bridge, under a sign that reads No One Escapes Alive. Each player sits in one and wakes up in the starting cell block, in Afterlife, and has to revive their own body.

The plane can fly again. When the next round starts after everyone is back, fuel tanks appear where the five parts were, this time with no puzzle. Bring them to the roof to refuel Icarus. Going to the bridge and coming back through the chairs counts as one cycle.

Brutus and the plane

Like the perk machines, the workbenches and the Mystery Box, the plane can be locked by Brutus when he walks past it. Unlocking it costs 2000 points, and the price climbs by 2000 for every lock he places in the same round. Locking the plane is part of his Full Lockdown patrol.

Achievements

Bridge reached

No One Escapes Alive asks you to execute the escape plan. Build Icarus and reach the bridge. It is also the first step of Pop Goes the Weasel.

Making the Rounds

Complete the cycle 3 times, so fly to the bridge and come back through the chairs three times.

GG Bridge

Survive a whole round on the bridge, on round 15 or higher.

All of them are on the achievements page.

In a First Room game

A First Room run never builds the plane: the parts, the roof and the bridge are all outside the starting cell block. With no flight, there is no Pack-a-Punch. The weapons page lists what is left.
