Three threats

TranZit has zombies everywhere, Denizens in the fog and one boss, the Avogadro, who arrives with the power. There are no Hellhounds on the full map.

Zombies

A zombie on fire walking along the depot after crossing lava at the Bus Depot in TranZit, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Burning zombies

A zombie that walks through lava catches fire and explodes when killed, hurting and sometimes downing nearby players. A burning zombie killed with the Galvaknuckles does not explode.

Dormant zombies

Some zombies stand still until a player comes close or enough time passes. The clearest case is the start of every game, with a group waiting in the middle of the depot hall. An EMP Grenade puts zombies back in that state.

Bus chasers

Zombies chasing the bus run faster than a super sprinter, then climb on and break in.

The asylum

They wear straitjackets, gowns and work shirts of a “Hanford Sanitarium” that does not exist anywhere on the map.

Denizens

A Denizen, the small creature of the fog, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Called Screechers in the game files, Denizens are what keeps you on the road. Step into the fog between two locations and one comes out of the ground shrieking, runs at you and jumps on your head.

A Denizen latched on the head of the player, its claws across the screen in TranZit, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Latched on

You cannot shoot or sprint, your sight blurs and it scratches you. Left alone, it downs you in two or three scratches.

A Denizen leaping at the player in the Tunnel in TranZit, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Before it lands

It is weak while it leaps. One or two bullets, one hit of the Bowie Knife or the Galvaknuckles, or two quick knife hits kill it.

A Denizen portal open in the ground at the foot of a lamp post in TranZit, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Lamp posts

They flee lit lamp posts, but one on your head digs a portal under a lit lamp.

Shaking it off

Five knife hits, two with the Galvaknuckles, two or three with the Bowie Knife. Killing one this way earns I Don’t Think They Exist.

Worth nothing

No points, no power-ups.

Limits

Only one attacks at a time and two at most exist on the map. They never attack a player on the bus roof or under the Pylon.

Fire

A Denizen that crosses lava burns and explodes like a zombie.

The Avogadro

The Avogadro, a figure of pure electricity, standing over lava in TranZit, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

The Avogadro is a fragment of Cornelius Pernell, the Broken Arrow leader turned into living electricity. He is trapped in the reactor of the Power Station until the power is first turned on, then roams the map as a thunderstorm.

Two forms

A ball of lightning that cannot be hurt, then a human shape that fires a bolt where you stood.

Only melee

Guns do nothing. In human form he dies in five knife hits, four with the Bowie Knife, two with the Galvaknuckles. The Zombie Shield hits like the knife.

One EMP

An EMP Grenade kills him at once.

The bus

He can zap the bus and shut it down for about a minute, longer if he is not beaten. A Turbine restarts it.

He comes back

Beaten, he spins and flies off into the clouds, and returns a few rounds later. Waiting for the storm to pass before killing the last zombie of a round keeps him away.

Beating him without being hit earns You Have No Power Over Me, and on Maxis’ side of the Easter egg he must die under the Pylon.

In a First Room game

A First Room run in the depot hall only meets zombies. The hall is not fog, so no Denizen reaches it, and the Avogadro needs the power switch, which is at the Power Station. What is left is the lava crack in the floor: zombies that cross it come out burning, and burning zombies explode.
