Progress that stays

TranZit was the first Zombies map where something carries over from one game to the next. Three systems do it: Persistent Upgrades, the Bank and the Weapon Locker. All three are shared with Die Rise and Buried, and none exists in Survival, Grief or Turned.

Persistent Upgrades

Fans call them Perma-Perks. Each one is earned by playing a certain way and lost the same way. Earning one gives a green flash and a line from your character; losing one plays an eerie sound. They only work in online games, solo included, and they stack with Perk-a-Colas.

The Bank

The two deposit keys in the bank vault in TranZit, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Where

In the vault of the bank in Town, behind a metal door blown open with a grenade. Two shiny keys: one deposits, one withdraws.

The deposit box in the bank vault, prompt Hold to deposit into deposit box, Amount 1000 in TranZit, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Deposit

1000 points at a time, up to 250,000.

The withdraw key in the bank vault, prompt Hold to withdraw from deposit box, Amount 1000, Fee 100 in TranZit, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

Withdraw

1000 at a time, of which you get 900. The other 100 are a fee.

Online only

The Bank needs a connection to online features.

Sharing points

  1. Find the other keys in the bank, low under a teller window, left of the metal door when you come from the vault.
  2. Hit them with the Galvaknuckles, or a Pack-a-Punched Ballistic Knife with the Bowie Knife.
  3. Pay 1100 points. A 1000-point power-up drops for a teammate to pick up. Stand where it drops and it is lost.

The Weapon Locker

The Weapon Locker fridge inside the farmhouse in TranZit, Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies

The fridge in the farmhouse kitchen stores one weapon, with its attachments and ammo, for a later game or another map. Using it with a weapon already inside swaps the two. The M1911, the Ballistic Knife, the wonder weapons and their upgraded versions cannot go in. A weapon that only exists on Die Rise or Buried comes out as a TranZit replacement, for example an AN-94 becomes a Galil.

In a First Room game

The Bank and the fridge are in Town and at the Farm, out of reach from the depot hall. Persistent Upgrades follow the player into any game, the First Room included. The one tied to the hall is the Ray Gun Wall-Buy, since the Olympia hangs on its wall.
