BO2
An old western town sealed inside a cave under Angola. Buried closed the Black Ops II season with a gunsmith, a witch's house, a saloon and a giant named Leroy who breaks down walls for a handful of candy.
The map brought the Paralyzer, the Time Bomb that rewinds the game, Vulture Aid, and Pack-a-Punch hidden at the heart of the hedge maze. The Ray Gun Mark II waits in the Mystery Box, somewhere in the town below.
The First Room is Processing, the rusty mining building where the game starts: a walkway around a sunken pit, three boarded windows, and a single way out, a hole in the walkway floor under the LSAT catwalk. It is one of the tightest starting rooms of the game. Next to the classic board, the page keeps two unofficial ones the community plays: Quick Side and Ray Gun.

The Buried First Room leaderboard on Zombie First Room Rankings tracks every verified run held in the starting room of Buried, on Call of Duty : Black Ops II. 80 records are listed here, and the best rounds on record are 40 in solo by Kaprizka, 43 in 2 players by swagrobuc, 43 in 3 players by Zeetaa and 43 in 4 players by ZombieKiller 3819.
Buried is tracked outside the rankings: its records earn no ranking points, because no ranking takes it. It does carry a difficulty coefficient — solo 4.2 and two players 3.4 — which is what weighs its rounds in the ZFRR rating of the players who hold them.
Buried is remembered for the western town sealed in a cave, Leroy the giant and his candy, the ghost in the witch's house and the Processing area where you drop in. The crew: Russman, Abigail "Misty" Briarton, Marlton Johnson, Samuel Stuhlinger and Leroy. Weapons and wonder weapons: Paralyzer, Ray Gun Mark II, Time Bomb and Remington New Model Army. Perks on the map: Juggernog, Quick Revive, Speed Cola, Double Tap Root Beer, Mule Kick, Stamin-Up and Vulture Aid.
First Room is the purest discipline in Call of Duty Zombies: no Pack-a-Punch run around the map, no easter egg, no train through open ground. You hold the spawn room of Buried, you keep the doors closed, and you push the round counter as far as the horde allows. Every high round, world record and personal best on this page is backed by its video and checked against the reference boards before it is listed.
We do not maintain our own ruleset. ZFRR follows the competitive First Room rules written and maintained by the player Zi0 on his site B2, the reference used across the Zombies community.
B2 gathers the global rules (no memory tools, no macros, no out-of-bounds glitches, no emulators) and those specific to the First Room category: doors stay closed, fast ray, rapid fire and the fast-throw grenade glitch are forbidden, while fast knifing and split-screen remain allowed. Every change is voted on publicly.
The version the game is played on is part of the rules. A run played on a platform or a client refused below is not listed, whatever the round or the time — and a run already on the board is removed from it.
| Platform | Rule |
|---|---|
| Steam | NOT ALLOWED |
| Plutonium The most recent version is required, and the B2FR patch (First Room) with it. Test and staging builds are refused. | REQUIRED FOR PC |
| Redacted Whatever the round or the time : a run played on this client is removed from the board. | NOT ALLOWED |
| Xbox 360 / One / Series | ALLOWED |
| PS3 | ALLOWED |
| PS4 / PS5 | ALLOWED |
| Wii U | ALLOWED |
A First Room run played on Plutonium must use the B2FR patch, the First Room community patch maintained by B2, in its latest version: a version becomes invalid once it is a month old and a newer one has been out for 72 hours. Without it, a PC run is not comparable to the rest of the board, and it is refused whatever the round or the time.

The file goes in

The download always points to the latest published version.
A run that breaks these rules is not accepted, whatever the round reached. If a username, a nationality or a score looks wrong, tell us through the contact form.
