The Apothicon army

With the Shadowman free and the Dark Aether open, Revelations gathers the enemies of the whole Black Ops III season: zombies, Parasites, Margwas, Panzersoldats, Spiders and corrupted Keepers, plus a new one, the Fury. Spiders only ever appear inside the Giant Apothicon.

Furies

The new enemy of Revelations, taking the place of the Insanity Elementals of Shadows of Evil. They fall from the sky and can teleport straight to a player. They come with the Parasites from the second Parasite round, attack during the first, second and fourth engine overrides, and appear in normal rounds from about round 20.

An Enslaved Keeper, purple, with the Apothicon symbol on its chest, in Revelations, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

Enslaved Keepers

Keepers corrupted by the Dark Aether, purple, with the Apothicon word for “curse” on the chest. They start in the Giant Apothicon around rounds 13 and 14, and come every round from round 20. The characters hate having to kill them.

Zombies

The undead of Agartha, with red eyes like on Mob of the Dead and Gorod Krovi. Inside the Giant Apothicon they look more skeletal.

Parasites

Flying creatures, red on this map, that spit red acid. They have special rounds of their own, whose last kill drops a Max Ammo, and one always flies inside the Giant Apothicon.

Spiders

The spiders of Zetsubou No Shima, only inside the Giant Apothicon, every three to five rounds.

Margwas

The three-headed bosses of Shadows of Evil return as round bosses. The first comes between rounds 11 and 13, a second around rounds 25 to 27. Each head only takes damage while its mouth is open and glowing, and each head destroyed is worth 500 points and releases a Parasite. Margwas ignore Insta-Kill and Nuke, and their slam downs a player without Juggernog in one hit.

A Fire Margwa with its orange glow in Revelations, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

Fire Margwa

Orange-red glow. Its slam sends a slow, heavy wave of fire along the ground that follows players around corners, and it can set zombies alight into Napalm Zombies.

A Void Margwa with its purple-blue glow in Revelations, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

Void Margwa

Purple-blue glow. Its slam opens a void that sends out skulls which hurt and stun, and it marks the zombies it hits: they leave purple circles that hurt players who step in them.

Regular Margwa

Yellow glow, the same as on Shadows of Evil, with its slam attack.

The Thundergun takes a Margwa down in as few as three shots, and the Guard of Fafnir softens the Void Margwa’s stun. Killing one Margwa of each kind with one hit to each head unlocks the Margwa Head.

Panzersoldats

Called Mech Z in the game’s challenges, the Panzersoldat has its Der Eisendrache suit: a flamethrower on the right arm and an electric cannon whose shots stun players and turn the zombies they hit into Electrified Zombies. The first one comes between rounds 18 and 21, another about ten rounds later. Shooting off its face armour and its chest power core counts towards the Helmet of the King.

The Shadowman

The Shadowman in his ceremonial robes during the final fight of Revelations, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

The final boss of the Black Ops III storyline, voiced by Robert Picardo, fought in his ceremonial robes in a separate arena at the end of the main quest. Every kind of enemy spawns during the fight. His shield has to be broken by Sophia’s beam before bullets can hurt him, and the Wonder Weapons do almost nothing to him.
