For The Good Of All

The main quest of Revelations has the players open the Summoning Key and defeat the Shadowman for good. It can be done solo. It rewards 20,000 XP, the “Home Sweet Home” calling card and the achievement of the same name, then sends the players to Samantha’s room for the ending, after which the game ends.

The Keeper Protector

The Summoning Altar is built from three parts, each with three possible spots, at any of the unfinished altars in Der Eisendrache, Kino der Toten, Verrückt and Origins. Once built, the Keeper Protector is summoned for 5000 points and fights at the players’ side for a while.

The skull

In Verrückt. On the shelves right of Speed Cola; in a wheelchair at the top of the stairs right of the Corruption Engine; or in a wheelchair at a desk near the Der Wunderfizz spot.

The purple crystal

In Der Eisendrache or Kino der Toten. On a barrel under a white cloth in the room of the Primis statues; in the rubble against the pyramid; or on a small table under a red cloth near the jump pad to Verrückt.

The flag

In Origins or Mob of the Dead. On sandbags right of the VMP; in a corner on top of the central mound; or right of Mule Kick in the cafeteria.

The steps

  1. Tombstones: on two floating islands left of the House, four graves bear the names of the Origins crew. Shoot them in the order the original characters died: Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, Nikolai. Thunder and four red lights confirm it.
  2. First audio reel: a small triangular stone appears at the back of one of three jump pads: Shangri-La to the House, Mob of the Dead to Verrückt, or Verrückt to Kino der Toten. Lead the Keeper Protector there and crouch on the stone while the pad is idle. The Keeper chants for three minutes while every zombie goes for it; protect it, preferably before the first Margwa around rounds 11 to 13, since a Margwa that reaches it ruins the attempt. Place the reel on the player upstairs in Nacht der Untoten, near Juggernog.
  3. Second audio reel: inside the Giant Apothicon, throw a Li’l Arnie into each of the nine holes zombies climb out of, three at a time. Each group of three brings three Margwas: regular, then Fire, then Void. Kill them before leaving, or the three holes reset. The reel appears on the bridge in the middle of the Apothicon; place it on the player on the right of the Kino der Toten stage.
  4. Third audio reel: shoot six bone rocks floating outside the map with any Pack-a-Punched weapon except the Servant, then pull each bone in with the Estoom-oth. The rocks are in Verrückt, Nacht der Untoten, Der Eisendrache (only from the wall run during low gravity), the House church, above Stamin-Up and next to the giant footprint in Origins. On the top floor of Nacht der Untoten, the Estoom-oth turns the bone pile into Sophia’s body, then her body into the reel. Play it on top of the Mound in Origins.
  5. Sophia: her ghost appears above Nacht der Untoten. Use each Corruption Turret to shoot the left-hand blue 115 rock above it, 8000 points in all, then interact with the ghost in Nacht der Untoten. Follow Sophia to the teleporter in Kino der Toten, which she powers.
  6. The Kronorium: everyone stands in the teleporter and lands in Samantha’s bedroom. Take the Kronorium from the bed, then place it on the podium on the Kino der Toten stage.
  7. Apothicon eggs: four eggs appear around the map, one per area, each at one of four spots. Each player carries one at a time. Put each into one of the four yellow pustules in the stomach acid of the Giant Apothicon and kill ten zombies nearby: it hatches into a Gateworm.
  8. Runes of Creation: carry each Gateworm to its island, where a beeping grows louder near the invisible rune. Interact at the right spot: the worm turns into a rune.
  9. The Summoning Key: all players stand on the purple rift in the Kino der Toten projector room and enter the boss arena. The Kronorium shows four Apothicon symbols, in a random order; select them in that order on the shifting symbols. Then survive four waves of Margwas, each in a different terrain: lava, lightning, fire and void. The Key floats free in the middle.
  10. Seven objects: throw the Key at objects from earlier quests: the radio in the Kino chandelier, the clock over the Der Eisendrache Undercroft, the focusing crystal by the Shangri-La temple, a tombstone on the Origins mound, a poster in a Mob of the Dead cell, the MG42 above the Verrückt fountain, and the red barrel of the “Undone” song in Nacht der Untoten.
  11. The Shadowman: back in the arena, place the Key on a green pedestal and kill about ten zombies near it, then throw it into Sophia. Her beam breaks the Shadowman’s shield; shoot him until he is pulled into the mouth of the Apothicon statue, and use the Kronorium to finish him. A failed attempt starts again from another pedestal.

The Summoning Key is prone to bugs in step 8: it can vanish when carried through the Nacht der Untoten portal, so the jump pads are safer, with the red barrel kept for last.

A Better Tomorrow

A Better Tomorrow achievement art, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

The final quest of Black Ops III Zombies. It is completed by finishing For The Good Of All after the five earlier main quests, in any order: Apocalypse Averted on Shadows of Evil, the Fly Trap quest on The Giant, My Brother’s Keeper on Der Eisendrache, Seeds of Doubt on Zetsubou No Shima, and Love and War on Gorod Krovi. The map selection screen lights up an icon for each one done.

1,000,000 XP

Enough for a full prestige, with the “Primis Rulz” calling card and the achievement.

A second pistol

The RK5 joins the starting pistol on every map, both with full ammunition.

The spark

In later games of Revelations, a spark hums in the headlight of the truck in the House. It leads to Takeo’s katana, the Path of Sorrows.

The ending

Primis with the elemental staffs in the Great War, ending of Revelations, Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies

In Samantha’s room, the toys of the earlier quests circle the Summoning Key and merge with it. Sophia takes in the Key and, with Maxis, dives into the Apothicon sun, banishing the Apothicons. Monty notices that Primis should no longer exist, since their blood vials come from closed realities, and sends them to a corner of history: the Great War, where they stand as knights with the elemental staffs.
