Dead Flowers

The Easter egg song of Zetsubou No Shima, a metalcore track written by Kevin Sherwood with James McCawley and sung by Malukah. Hold the use button on three sock monkeys:

First sock monkey

On a power generator, to the left of the perk machine by the blue water, near Lab A.

Second sock monkey

On the top floor of Lab B, on a table to the left of a floodlight, in front of zombie diagrams.

Third sock monkey

In the operations room of the Bunker, on a table between the KT-4 bench and the Masamune bench.

None of them is in the spawn area: the song cannot be played in a First Room game.

Samantha’s Lullaby

A new version of the lullaby, played on seven bulbs in the wall next to the purple water of the Living Quarters. The last bulb is the play button. Fill the other six from left to right with these amounts of water, in thirds of a bucket: 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 5. A knifed bulb loses water if it was overfilled. Then use the seventh bulb to play the song.

Friendly Thrasher

  1. Get the Skull of Nan Sapwe and the Masamune.
  2. On the wall to the left of the entrance of the test subjects room in the Bunker, use Mesmerize: a spore shows behind branches.
  3. Shoot the branches with the Masamune, then burst the spore when a zombie is near. The zombie becomes a Thrasher with blue eyes, which fights the zombies for a few minutes.

Spider Bait

A hidden wonder weapon that turns the player into a spider for about 50 seconds, once a round. The cocooned body is safe, the zombies chase the spider instead, and its webs kill even at round 40. A spore cloud ends it early.

  1. Every player finishes their Trials, so that a shield can be electrified, and the Skull of Nan Sapwe is in hand with a full charge. The cage of Lab A has already given the venom of the KT-4 and is back at ground level.
  2. On a spider round, the second or a later one, use Mesmerize to find the spider that gives off a red mist. Keep it alive.
  3. Lead it to drink the blue water near Lab A, the green water behind Lab B and the purple water of the Living Quarters, in any order. Keep it away from wall spores: a spore cloud kills it.
  4. Catch it in the cage of Lab A, raise the cage, strike the panel with an electrified shield and lower the cage again: it goes fully underground.
  5. The next spider round brings spiders wrapped in red mist, more aggressive. Kill them all.
  6. Raise the cage: a cocoon has replaced the spider. Extract its venom: every player can now take the Spider Bait from the machine of Lab A, in place of the Trip Mine.

Hidden details

The doppelgänger

Aiming a sniper scope at the test subject tubes of the Bunker can make a double of one of the four characters appear, without a name above the head. Walking up to it makes it turn and scream, freezing the player for a moment. Only the player who did it sees it.

Hallucinations

A player who breathes spore gas for too long starts to hear frightening sounds and to see a bloody background in some places of the map.

The distant monster

From round 50, if a player holds the Skull of Nan Sapwe, a giant creature can be heard and seen far away from Lab B, at the start of the round.

The electric cage

An electrified shield used on the panel of Lab A drops the cage with a random power-up inside.

The radios

Five radios are hidden around the map. On them, Ludvig Maxis speaks to Richtofen of a world that changes around him and of the truths he kept from him.

The Missing City

On the second floor of the Living Quarters, behind a window, a Japanese poster for the film of Shadows of Evil.

The sky

Tears in the sky show a dogfight between a Corsair and a Zero, and the Icarus of Mob of the Dead.
