Voyage of Despair

BO4 PC : available Xbox : available PlayStation : available Plutonium : not available

The first map of Black Ops 4: the RMS Titanic on the night of April 14, 1912. Scarlett, Diego, Bruno and Shaw came aboard to steal a Sentinel Artifact. A game starts on the forecastle, the deck at the bow, just as the ship strikes the iceberg; it then stops and slowly tips forward. Most of the ship, from the bridge and the grand staircase to the flooded cargo hold and engine rooms, stays behind doors.

The forecastle holds the Strife and the Essex Model 07, 500 points each, and the Danu altar, to the right of the spawn: a First Room run here can buy one perk, the one placed in the Danu slot of the loadout. The map brings three new enemies, Catalysts, Stokers and Blightfathers.

Voyage of Despair First Room

The Voyage of Despair First Room leaderboard on Zombie First Room Rankings tracks every verified run held in the starting room of Voyage of Despair, on Call of Duty : Black Ops 4. 38 records are listed here, and the best rounds on record are 42 in solo by ZombieMenance, 34 in 2 players by Bitum, 31 in 3 players by Bitum and 27 in 4 players by ZKL_Momo.

Voyage of Despair is tracked outside the rankings: its records earn no ranking points, because no ranking takes it. It does carry a difficulty coefficient — solo 6.1 and two players 6.2 — which is what weighs its rounds in the ZFRR rating of the players who hold them.

First Room is the purest discipline in Call of Duty Zombies: no Pack-a-Punch run around the map, no easter egg, no train through open ground. You hold the spawn room of Voyage of Despair, you keep the doors closed, and you push the round counter as far as the horde allows. Every high round, world record and personal best on this page is backed by its video and checked against the reference boards before it is listed.
