Ashes of the Damned

A patchwork of places torn from the real world and dropped into the Dark Aether, each one at a different point in time, all linked by roads lost in a deadly fog. It begins at a twisted copy of the Janus Towers, built in Liberty Falls in 1989 and swallowed by the Dark Aether in 1991, then reaches Vandorn Farm, Blackwater Lake, the frontier town of Ashwood, the Exit 115 rest stop and the Zarya Cosmodrome. Straight after Reckoning, Weaver, Grey, Carver and Maya team up with Dark Aether versions of Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo and Richtofen. A new enemy, the Warden, drains their essence. They cross the fog in Ol' Tessie, a pickup truck driven by the head of T.E.D.D., to hunt down the Shadowsmith Veytharion. It is the largest round-based map ever made.

A game starts in the Janus Towers Plaza, where Ol' Tessie and T.E.D.D. are first found. The CODA 9 hangs on the wall for 500 points and the Warden 308 for 1,450 points. The enemies are zombies, Armored and Heavy Zombies, Ravagers that scavenge salvage in packs, Zursa (zombified bears) and Uber Klaus.

First Room is the purest discipline in Call of Duty Zombies: no Pack-a-Punch run around the map, no easter egg, no train through open ground. You hold the spawn room of Ashes of the Damned, you keep the doors closed, and you push the round counter as far as the horde allows. Black Ops 7 First Rooms are tracked in a single category, No GobbleGums: reach the highest round you can without opening any door, every round played in full, no glitch or exploit.

No GobbleGums means no gum is used at any point, and none is broken down for points either. Keeping the three Whimsical gums in the pack is recommended: one taken by mistake does not void the run.

Full gameplay is required, and every player's point of view in co-op. Every game is played on the most recent patch; saving and quitting or crashing the game to void a down or a game over is not allowed. The rules of each map are listed on its leaderboard.

Game versions and platforms

The version the game is played on is part of the rules. A run played on a platform or a client refused below is not listed, whatever the round or the time — and a run already on the board is removed from it.

Saving and quitting or force crashing the game to void a down, a Dying Wish use or a game over is NOT ALLOWED.
The game is still being updated: a patch that changes the balance of the game can lead to a board being reset.
