The Darkest Shore

Heligoland, a mist-shrouded island fortress of the Kriegsmarine in the North Sea, on April 18 and 19, 1945. Straub has taken his creations there, and the crew lands in the fog to find the pommel of Barbarossa's sword before him, then to call in the bombers that wipe out the island. From cliffside bunkers to the U-boat pens, the map runs a minecart system and introduces the Ripsaw and the Meuchler, a four-armed zombie halfway between the Wüstling and the Bomber that comes with the fog waves. It came with The Resistance, the first DLC pack.

A game starts on the beach, under assault by a large swarm that has to be cleared before wave 1 begins; two mounted MG 42s help hold it off. The Machine Pistol and the M1A1 Carbine hang in weapon lockers for 500 Jolts each, next to Lebenblitz and a Mystery Box location, and the door to the Beach Passage costs 750 Jolts. The enemies are zombies, Pests, Bombers, Wüstlings, Brenners and Meuchlers.

First Room is the purest discipline in Call of Duty Zombies: no Pack-a-Punch run around the map, no easter egg, no train through open ground. You hold the spawn room of The Darkest Shore, you keep the doors closed, and you push the round counter as far as the horde allows. WWII First Rooms are tracked in a single category, No Consumables: reach the highest wave you can without opening any door or barrier, every wave played in full, no glitch or exploit.

No Consumables means no consumable is used at any point of the game.

Full gameplay is required, and every player's point of view in co-op. The lobby is shown before the map is launched. Going down on purpose to block the zombies' path is not allowed. The rules of each map are listed on its leaderboard.

Game versions and platforms

The version the game is played on is part of the rules. A run played on a platform or a client refused below is not listed, whatever the round or the time — and a run already on the board is removed from it.

Taken from the ranking this board follows. A run that breaks one of them is refused, whatever the round.

Challenge Specifics

Reach the highest wave you can without opening any doors or barriers.
Every round must be played in full.
If the Wüstling gets stuck in a spot where it is invincible, the record is denied.
If the Wüstling gets stuck under the map and is not killed by the end of the round, the record is denied.
Despawning zombies on wave 0 and respawning them on wave 1 is ALLOWED.
Players intentionally downing themselves to create a barrier that stops zombies entering certain areas of the playable map is NOT ALLOWED.
Using consumables is NOT ALLOWED.
Glitches or Exploits are NOT ALLOWED.

Video Requirements

Full gameplay is required.
Multi-pov is unconditionally required for co-op games.
Players must show the lobby before launching the map.
Twitch: Make sure your footage is highlighted as past broadcasts will not be accepted.
YouTube: Make sure your video is public or unlisted.
