The centre of Green Run, ringed by the bar, the church and the open street. Survival mode strips TranZit down to this one square, which is why Town became the standard training ground of Black Ops II.

The Galvaknuckles sit above the bar, the Bowie Knife is nearby, the Mystery Box moves between three spots and Pack-a-Punch is buildable in the bar itself. A fire burns in the middle of the street and lights nothing useful.

The First Room is the street. Open enough to hold a loop, small enough that one mistake cannot be undone, and surrounded by openings that all lead back to the same place. Next to the classic board, the page keeps the Semtex one, played with Magic off and no perks.

The Town First Room leaderboard on Zombie First Room Rankings tracks every verified run held in the starting room of Town, on Call of Duty : Black Ops II. 99 records are listed here, and the best rounds on record are 80 in solo by iTekAlot, 70 in two players by Alone, 58 in 3 players by Fxi and 51 in 4 players by blasteress.

Town counts in one ranking. The difficulty coefficient multiplies every round reached here, which is how a round 30 on a tight starting room can be worth more than a round 50 on an open one: “High Rounds” First Room (solo 2.6, two players 2).

Town is remembered for the bar, the church and the open street, the survival mode of Green Run, the buildable Pack-a-Punch and the fire in the middle of the road. The crew: Russman, Abigail "Misty" Briarton, Marlton Johnson and Samuel Stuhlinger. Weapons and wonder weapons: Galvaknuckles, Bowie Knife, Ray Gun and M1216. Perks on the map: Juggernog, Quick Revive, Speed Cola, Double Tap Root Beer and Tombstone Soda.

First Room is the purest discipline in Call of Duty Zombies: no Pack-a-Punch run around the map, no easter egg, no train through open ground. You hold the spawn room of Town, you keep the doors closed, and you push the round counter as far as the horde allows. Every high round, world record and personal best on this page is backed by its video and checked against the reference boards before it is listed.

Rules / Informations

We do not maintain our own ruleset. ZFRR follows the competitive First Room rules written and maintained by the player Zi0 on his site B2, the reference used across the Zombies community.

B2 gathers the global rules (no memory tools, no macros, no out-of-bounds glitches, no emulators) and those specific to the First Room category: doors stay closed, fast ray, rapid fire and the fast-throw grenade glitch are forbidden, while fast knifing and split-screen remain allowed. Every change is voted on publicly.

Game versions and platforms

The version the game is played on is part of the rules. A run played on a platform or a client refused below is not listed, whatever the round or the time — and a run already on the board is removed from it.

Black Ops II on Plutonium

A First Room run played on Plutonium must use the B2FR patch, the First Room community patch maintained by B2, in its latest version: a version becomes invalid once it is a month old and a newer one has been out for 72 hours. Without it, a PC run is not comparable to the rest of the board, and it is refused whatever the round or the time.

A run that breaks these rules is not accepted, whatever the round reached. If a username, a nationality or a score looks wrong, tell us through the contact form.
