The abandoned theatre of Kino der Toten, the map most players learn Zombies on and the flagship of Black Ops. A teleporter in the projection room, the Thundergun in the box, and the Nova Crawlers that come out of the vents on their own rounds.

The layout is a loop: lobby, stairs, theatre, alleys, back to the lobby. It is the friendliest map in the series to learn a training route on, and the reason a whole generation of players knows what a train is.

The First Room is the foyer. Generous space, clean sight lines and a natural circle make it the easiest spawn in Black Ops to survive in, which is precisely why its records climb so high. Next to the classic board, the page keeps the 5and5 Mod one, played in another room.

Kino der Toten is remembered for the abandoned theatre, the Nova crawlers, the teleporter to Pack-a-Punch and the projection room. The crew: Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki, Edward Richtofen and Samantha Maxis. Weapons and wonder weapons: Thundergun, MP40, Bowie Knife and Ray Gun. Perks on the map: Juggernog, Quick Revive, Speed Cola, Double Tap, PhD Flopper and Stamin-Up.

First Room is the purest discipline in Call of Duty Zombies: no Pack-a-Punch run around the map, no easter egg, no train through open ground. You hold the spawn room of Kino der Toten, you keep the doors closed, and you push the round counter as far as the horde allows. Every high round, world record and personal best on this page is backed by its video and checked against the reference boards before it is listed.

Rules / Informations

We do not maintain our own ruleset. ZFRR follows the competitive First Room rules written and maintained by the player Zi0 on his site B2, the reference used across the Zombies community.

B2 gathers the global rules (no memory tools, no macros, no out-of-bounds glitches, no emulators) and those specific to the First Room category: doors stay closed, fast ray, rapid fire and the fast-throw grenade glitch are forbidden, while fast knifing and split-screen remain allowed. Every change is voted on publicly.
