Moon

BO1 PC : available Xbox : available PlayStation : available Plutonium : available

Area 51 first, then the moon. Moon is the map where the story of Black Ops ends, with the three rockets that hit the Earth and change the timeline for good. It is also the only map that starts on one map and continues on another.

Low gravity changes every jump and every turn you have learned elsewhere. The hull can be breached, which drains your oxygen and forces you to move, the excavators tear whole sections open on their own schedule, and the Astronaut zombie teleports to you and takes a perk with him. The Wave Gun and the Zap Guns are the wonder weapons, and the Quantum Entanglement Device makes every choice a gamble.

The First Room is the Receiving Bay you arrive in after Area 51. With the doors closed the power never comes on, so the room stays without air and in low gravity the whole game: the space suit stays on, Quick Revive is the only perk, and a badly timed jump can end a run that the zombies were not going to end.

Moon First Room

The Moon First Room leaderboard on Zombie First Room Rankings tracks every verified run held in the starting room of Moon, on Call of Duty : Black Ops. 63 records are listed here, and the best rounds on record are 44 in solo by NeoTellos, 42 in two players by RainingZombies, 37 in 3 players by RainingZombies and 34 in 4 players by RainingZombies.

Moon counts in one ranking. The difficulty coefficient multiplies every round reached here, which is how a round 30 on a tight starting room can be worth more than a round 50 on an open one: “High Rounds” First Room (solo 6.8, two players 6.5).

Moon is remembered for Griffin Station on the Moon, low gravity and the space suits, the excavators and the hull breaches and the astronaut zombie. The crew: Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki, Edward Richtofen and Samantha Maxis. Weapons and wonder weapons: Wave Gun, Zap Guns, Ray Gun, Hacker and Quantum Entanglement Device. Perks on the map: Juggernog, Quick Revive, Speed Cola, Double Tap, PhD Flopper, Stamin-Up and Mule Kick.

First Room is the purest discipline in Call of Duty Zombies: no Pack-a-Punch run around the map, no easter egg, no train through open ground. You hold the spawn room of Moon, you keep the doors closed, and you push the round counter as far as the horde allows. Every high round, world record and personal best on this page is backed by its video and checked against the reference boards before it is listed.

Rules / Informations

We do not maintain our own ruleset. ZFRR follows the competitive First Room rules written and maintained by the player Zi0 on his site B2, the reference used across the Zombies community.

B2 gathers the global rules (no memory tools, no macros, no out-of-bounds glitches, no emulators) and those specific to the First Room category: doors stay closed, fast ray, rapid fire and the fast-throw grenade glitch are forbidden, while fast knifing and split-screen remain allowed. Every change is voted on publicly.

Lowest round on the board

This ranking has no fixed entry round. The column below shows the lowest round currently on the board : beating it is enough to appear.

First Room	Mode	Lowest listed
Moon	Solo	14 25 listed
Moon	2P	10 28 listed

Game versions and platforms

The version the game is played on is part of the rules. A run played on a platform or a client refused below is not listed, whatever the round or the time — and a run already on the board is removed from it.

Call of Duty : Black Ops

Platform	Rule
Steam The host must show the files of the `zone/Common` directory and launch the game from the executable itself, not from a shortcut.	ALLOWED
Plutonium The anticheat output must stay visible : the text in the upper right corner and the checksums in the upper left corner are never covered.	ALLOWED
BGamer Same requirement as Steam : show `zone/Common` and launch from the executable.	ALLOWED
Xbox 360 / One / Series	ALLOWED
PS3	ALLOWED
PS4 / PS5	ALLOWED
Wii	NOT ALLOWED

A run that breaks these rules is not accepted, whatever the round reached. If a username, a nationality or a score looks wrong, tell us through the contact form.
