The one that started it all, first shipped as a bonus after the campaign of World at War and brought back on Black Ops with the four heroes of the series: Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo and Richtofen. A bombed-out bunker somewhere in the countryside, a barricade and a round counter.

There is no power switch and no Pack-a-Punch. The Black Ops version adds Mule Kick in the starting room, the Thundergun and the Black Ops weapons in the Mystery Box, which sits in the Help room behind its door.

The First Room is the starting room: five windows, the Kar98k and the M1 Carbine on its walls, Mule Kick for 4000 points, and two ways out that stay shut, the Help door and the sofa on the stairs. No dogs, no boss, no special round: the only thing that changes is how fast they walk.

Nacht der Untoten counts in one ranking. The difficulty coefficient multiplies every round reached here, which is how a round 30 on a tight starting room can be worth more than a round 50 on an open one: “High Rounds” First Room (solo 7.5, two players 6).

Nacht der Untoten is remembered for the bunker where Zombies began, no perks, no Pack-a-Punch and the Mystery Box upstairs. Weapons and wonder weapons: Kar98k, Thompson, BAR, Double-Barrelled Shotgun and Ray Gun.

First Room is the purest discipline in Call of Duty Zombies: no Pack-a-Punch run around the map, no easter egg, no train through open ground. You hold the spawn room of Nacht der Untoten, you keep the doors closed, and you push the round counter as far as the horde allows. Every high round, world record and personal best on this page is backed by its video and checked against the reference boards before it is listed.

Rules / Informations

We do not maintain our own ruleset. ZFRR follows the competitive First Room rules written and maintained by the player Zi0 on his site B2, the reference used across the Zombies community.

B2 gathers the global rules (no memory tools, no macros, no out-of-bounds glitches, no emulators) and those specific to the First Room category: doors stay closed, fast ray, rapid fire and the fast-throw grenade glitch are forbidden, while fast knifing and split-screen remain allowed. Every change is voted on publicly.

Game versions and platforms

The version the game is played on is part of the rules. A run played on a platform or a client refused below is not listed, whatever the round or the time — and a run already on the board is removed from it.
